Came in with the best quote for me Female, 60, 10+ no claims, no penalty points, 2010 Ford Fiesta, but have my daughter on the policy as named driver, She's 24, full licence (less than a year). An Post quoted 601 fully comp, breakdown assist, windscreen cover, step back. Currently with AA, quoting 630. They don't include breakdown assist, you have to get separate AA membership for 90. Their argument is that they are the only provider who will send a mechanic to fix your car. All others tow you to the nearest garage and you're liable for all other costs. TBH, I've only used breakdown assist at any point for a flat battery after hols so wasn't aware of this. I find the whole process so time-consuming and frustrating. the AA have come down more than 200 on the original quote but I think you'd need a degree in insurance to understand the Ts & Cs. You think you're covered until you make a claim, grrrr.

Rang 123.ie to see if they could do anything with the price and told straight up NO! Ah well, looks like i'm moving so - i guess 123.ie aren't interested in keeping customers!
