Who have you seen live that isn't around anymore?

So just as the title states, after the sad news of Keith Flint today, it got me thinking about who I have seen (solo or a band member) no longer with us.

Off the top of my head,

James Brown,
Amy Winehouse,
Glenn Frey with the eagles,
Keith Flint with the prodigy (unfortunately)
Chester with Linkin Park (like all teenagers at the time I had a phase)

There are probably plenty more that will come back to me but interesting to see what older legends from years back people got to see

I am sure I have seen Ronnie Drew and Barney McKenna of The Dubliners at some stage too.

I saw Crowded House at the Point Theatre at some stage in the early '90s. I'm pretty sure the lineup included their late ex-drummer and founding member Paul Hester.

Always regret not swapping Rolling Stones for Bowie tickets when asked back in the day, both playing The Point in the space of a week

That Stones gig in the Point has gone down as a classic though. Ive seen it mentioned in more than one list of greatest Irish gigs of all time, so don't beat yourself up about it:D

Stones in the Point was ok. Far far better last year in Croker. And Glastonbury 2013 was as good as it gets.

Bowie in the Point was one of the greatest though yeah. Peak Bowie.

I thought the Stones at the point was far superior. Maybe it was down to the (for them) intimate surroundings. My Bowie experience was Slane, about as far as you can get from peak Bowie, aside from Tin Machine that is

Stones in the Point was certainly an event alright. I clearly remember the "celebs" taking their seats and being cheered from the floor. Dave Fanning got a cheer. And speaking of not being around anymore, Gerry Ryan got a cheer and then a chorus of boos! Think they were boos of love.
