What's the craic (pun intended) with anal sex?

Morning folks,

As this is AH, I'm expecting a plethora of vulgar answers but I'm genuinely wondering, what's the story with men and anal sex? Every guy I've been with over the last few years has asked for it. I can't think of a single guy who hasn't asked me if I'm up for it. Nothing at all wrong with that, I have done it in the right circumstances when the mood has taken over but I definitely don't enjoy it. I'm just wondering why men like it so much. I think the.. for want of a better word, normal way, is much nicer. Is it because its a bit taboo (or is it even?), is it because it shows the girl has a dirty side? Also.. And this hugely worries me, are you put off by a girl who does it? Do you judge her in some maybe even subconscious way?

I have one story, that I think is funny more than anything.

Odd, he never saw that I'd rescued him from an awkward situation seeing as he was married, and never forgave me.

Like others I suspect the attraction is down to porn. Jimmy Carr made a joke years ago that the birth rate is going to go way down because people learn about sex from porn. "Well I shag her in the arse then cum on her tits, but we just can't seem to get pregnant!"

I do worry about that there's a chauvinistic element to it; that it can be uncomfortable to women and seen as submissive, but maybe some men are just conditioned to think that it's a natural part of sex and something they should want. Personally I've only done it a couple of times (at the ladies request) and it wasn't my favourite experience.

The bottom line OP is if you're uncomfortable with it, it's your choice, and no man should keep pestering you over it. If they can't respect your decision, get rid.

Oral sex is a perfectly pleasurable experience - once people keep themselves clean down there it's extremely enjoyable, it's not sore, you don't need lube. As with any sex act, best with someone you really like/love but how could something so pleasurable be unacceptable?

Mostly it's just pure human curiosity though there is zero excuse for any of the carry on described by a few people in this thread, definitely not solely due to porn as it's a practice that stretches back to the dawn of time....in general, sex has become a much more liberal topic and activity in the past few decades which also plays a part.

Some people are interested or into it, some are not, goes for both sexes. I think it's fair game that if somebody is asking a female partner to try, let them cast the first stone so-to-speak and accept a finger or two up the bum and see how enthusiastic they are then!

It reminds me of a thread I read here before and a woman was saying how her partner expects her to shave her public hair even though his is like a wild unkempt forest.

If you end up in a situation, though, as described in this thread where multiple casual partners are aggressively demanding anal sex, you really need to re-evaluate the sort of men you're attracting.
