Summer wind wrote: » Well what happened was I was on the lookout for an automatic car and I test drove the A6. Loved the looks of it and the S-tronic auto box was great with a lovely smooth comfortable drive. I decided to go for it and the initial few months were fine. Then what had seemed like small things started adding up such as going to put the car into sport mode and realizing it already was and going to switch on the full lights and realizing they were already on. I also missed rear wheel drive and found myself staring at every BMW I saw. Then one morning about 11 months after I’d bought it the car went into limp mode. Audi sent an AA man who found so many faults when he plugged it into his computer that he had to load it up and take it away. He even asked me if I’d put petrol in the tank instead of diesel. Audi kept it for a week and said it was a power boost sensor. Got it back and it was fine but I decided I would rather be in a BMW again. Traded it after one year with 22,000 on the clock for an lci 520d. Overall the A6 was a lovely car but I think I’m just not an Audi person so it wasn’t the car for me.
