Interested to see the way this pans out.

If France win the world cup and the way it's been projected that so much of the focus of the setup runs through Pogba then what will the critics have to say?

I thought it was griezman to be honest his free kick was pretty fantastic delivered into the box and even tho the paper dropped a clanger for the goal he still needed to take the shot. His movement up front was very good.

I didn't think pogba was bad or anything.

Thats just as hyperbole as saying that he is the best player on the pitch. He did an awful lot if basics right today it has been solid most of the world cup. Yes his style is to do some flashy things that don't always come off but he doesn't always need to be targeted for them if he has put In a decent performance.

There's not much the critics can say he'll be a world cup winner, but im sure they'll come up with something unless he gets the winner in the final of course

I must have been looking at a completely different season than you so. Football up to end of Oct was excellent iirc but there wasn't many matches after that where we were camped anywhere. Our defeat to the worst team in the premiership at Old Trafford contained 2 defensive midfielders Herrera and Matic alongside Pogba. He has to be able to add that game intelligence to his game to be able to adapt to a two man midfield. We surely cannot play 2 holding midfielders against the likes of West Brom next season.

Just because we play two deep players dont mean they are two defensive midfielders Herrera is not a defensive midfielder or a holding midfielder the closest he ever comes it was when asked to man mark hazard for a game.

Fred is a deep lying playmaker that is also very good at contributing defensively he will not be a defensive midfielder same as pogba will never be a defensive midfielder he will be required to work defensively when needed.

I think you’re giving Martinez a bit too much credit there. I’d say it was more like, they scored when they came on in the last game so I should probably start them.
