I held up a court case by refusing to swear on a bible.
I told the court clerk I wouldn't take that book into my hand.
They'd to go off looking for an affirmation. When it wasn't to hand the judge was less than impressed. But they found it and I swore on the affirmation and that was that!

In voting centers it's probably not in view until required through if someone turns up without ID.

Also the pencils that are used for voting are indelible.

This is only the start, most of the politicians have been very quite or in hiding. The government has to get a bill through both houses, with most parties giving free votes and both sides of the debate targeting each politician individually.
It will be a total mess with enough dirt dug up to fertilize the whole country. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the next government that finally gets the bill through.

Have to admit, it's the first time I've been torn on which way to vote. Didn't make up my mind till I was standing over the ballot paper. It was the Doctors views that swung it for me.

What I find gas is that so lot of people that would be all go on social media for this referendum or the marriage one etc and then half them wouldnt bother their ass voting in the general elections then, just seems a tad hypocritical

Country is run by civil servants, it doesn't matter much who we elect.
My experience of meetings with Government is that only one person in the delegation changes and the rest are as they were before change of government.
If you ever watched ''Yes Minister'' on the telly you'd get the gist of it.
Unfortunately when they make a cockup it's the Minster gets the boot instead of the person responsible......and so it goes on
