Lacey played county minor football in 2016 and 2017 so would almost certainly be an u19 during this season

Only so many places in academy, if they want to take in a big class they have to make room in academy.

If info true, it's a fairly ruthless gutting of the academy that will surely upset some people.

Dunno if it's fair to name yet to be honest. 6 players, all gonna give Connacht a shot anyway.

Some should probably look to Ulster too. As I glance over the roster, I have a good idea who was cut. I think it's a case of expectation. The management expect results too fast and the lads don't develop quick enough. Some of the lads could go into other provinces and do very well.
I hope if Sean O Connor is cut. He gets a shot at Leinster. I was very impressed with him every time I have seen him.

Sean O Connor wont be looked at by Leinster. They have enough within their own clubs and schools.

Was it a case of not good enough, or are Munster expecting an increase in quality coming into the academy over the next year or two? Just took a look at the academy list and found it hard to guess six names definitively, so there must be a couple of decent players going.
