The “free” or cheap VPN is collecting user data and selling it to third parties and advertisers (a very lucrative business).
The VPN blasts you with ads or redirects your browser to third party websites – and then earns commissions on sales.
They will simply cancel your “lifetime” subscription after a year or two (see VPNLand example below).
The VPN is similar to a Ponzi-scheme, requiring an ever-increasing number of new subscribers to remain financially solvent.
The “lifetime” is actually referencing the lifetime of the VPN company – not the customer. After selling a large amount of lifetime subscriptions, the owners could simply pay themselves out and then close the business.

Morby wrote: » Great, thank you! I'll be happy if I can use the BBC iPlayer and hop over to US Netflix for some content now and again, and perhaps I'll have a play around to see if I can get HBO / Hulu / Prime content working too. Right, may as well go ahead and get it now so!

You cant configure DNS on the Virgin Hub 3.0 - so you would need other hardware if you want to change all devices connecting to be able to access us netflix etc. The support said very clearly just 5 to me.
Morby wrote: » OK, so before I pull the trigger on this, as there's only 16 hours left until the deal ends, is this definitely working OK for people with Amazon Fire devices (2nd Generation and up) and in conjunction with a Virgin Hub 3.0? Also is it the Lifetime 5 devices option everyone is getting with the discount code provided by the Op, or does it work with the 10, 25 and 100 devices options also?

frash wrote: » Any reports back on this working on the Fire Stick?? I tried it last night. Installed fine on the fire stick Selected 'Streaming iPlayer' as my region Installed iPLayer When I try to play something it says there's a problem & to try again later or select another program All programs say this Ended up watching what I wanted through an "alternative" method. Would like to hear from anyone who got this working. Thanks
