Wouldn't be gone on that. Wall in the middle of the tank so you can drive slurry around would be better imv.
Big lump of silage wouldn't like being forced through a 6 inch pipe.

Going through plans with teagasc advisor this morning for new build. Instead of 2 agitation points you can run a slurry pipe- 6 inch pipe under ground along the outside of the tank and agitate through this from one agitation point. Iykwim. Did anyone do this?

Your getting that mixed up with water. Soil heats up and cools quickly compared to water. Hence why on a summers day it's cool at night and the lake could still be warm.

Not really. Soil is slow to warm up and slow to cool down. You need air temps at a good 10 degrees to get soil over 6 after a cold spell

I think they say "6 degrees and rising" . So your right, an hour in the middle of the day is not really suitable.
It's like pouring concrete in shutters, it has to be 4 degrees and rising.
