Out getting supplies for snowmageddon at the moment - people (not me) are starting to panic buy here, lidl shelves were getting stripped of water, milk, ping pong balls, crochet sets and digital micrometers.

Ah yeah I understand why we're not as prepared as they are. It was just funny that I was all enchanted with the little bit of snow and the weather drama since it's so rare.. And she's there clocking much lower temps and deeper snow regularly haha!

No problem ! I lived in Berlin and they were so efficient in snow fall . But one huge advantage was the underground system . The bin lorries converted to snow ploughs , everyone was legally bound to clear the path in front of their home or business . Staff were quickly transfered from parks etc into snow clearing . Medical staff were brought in by the army if need be etc . No wonder it all flowed !
The fact people knew that things would flow and shops stay open etc also stopped the stock piling and businesses closing . The efficiency of the city councils had a knock affect on everything

We go there every winter, and I love the snow. But for some reason i have enjoyed it here today even more. The whole drama around it has made it so enjoyable. The whole estate is out throwing snowballs and making snowmen (and snow women). People that you don’t see from one end of the year to the other are all out interacting.
