The battery is located inside the main control panel.
Once you down power the system you can remove the cover, then unscrew the PCB and the battery is located in behind where the PCB was.
12V 2.2 Amp battery
Hi folks,
My very old Astec 63DV battery is dead. Now I can't do basic electrical work like change room light switch because when I disable the fuse in the mains fuse board, the alarm goes off.
Is it easy to put in a new battery? I have never worked with alarms before.
Can someone please send me the instruction manual?
Many thanks for any help 👍

Its a job for the professionals. As I said any good installer can default and reset panels so not having an engineer code does not stop you getting another company to look after your alarm.

What if company that installed alarm go out of business or I want another company to work with alarn? Is there a way to reset this engineer password? How contractor different from the one who installed the alarm suppose to fix it without engineer code?

The buttons don't do anything. Does anyone that posted here still have access to the engineers manual or can recommend an alarm company? I realise it's obsolete but I'm hoping for some help! Many thanks all.
