Obviously most of their senior subs make up their second team? Surely this isn't true. No wonder clubs have little time for the county board. Im sure these clubs have been training since Feb and now have to play two games on the one day in October.

Mitchels were stronger last night but think ballintubber will win Sunday. I was lucky enough to be involved with a club who won a county title a couple of years ago. Winning the county was overwhelmingly the be all and end all – to be honest we pretty much stopped training after it and unsurprisingly lost in Connacht. There was a man and his dog at the Connacht semi and it was like a training session, in terms of intensity and effort from both sides, who were working off the drink more than anything! Fair enough, Mayo had an outlier season in terms of number of matches but planning everything around the Provincial Championships (which Corofin will win anyway) is indeed “farcical” imo. On another note though they really need to bring in a tie-break system for club Championship matches at this stage of the season. Imagine telling your boss in Dublin on Monday (in an MNC for example) you have to take a half day on Wednesday to play a GAA match! Not only that but pitches are under pressure

Numerous poor wides in the first half, they appeared to have pushed on after the goal immediately post the restart.Garrymore showed great fighting spirit to claw back a six point deficit. Shane Nally mixed the good and the bad but kicked two absolute corkers.Mitchels had ample chances to close out the contest. The referee John Galvey gave Garrymore ample opportunities to get the equaliser.Super free by Jimmy Killeen at the death to tie it up. I'd expect the Mitchels to win the replay on Wednesday. The second game was over as a contest after the first twenty minutes.Real shame for Claremorris. At times a brilliant performance in the first half by Ballintubber, they most definitely took their foot off the pedal in the second half. I'd favour them to win the county title at this moment in time.
