Jesus Christ, apart from delaying them a little, it will be business as usual. Are these guys stupid or what? So they have a sign and a few people notice them, it's hardly going to make anyone change their mind...
UP to 75,000 second-hand 'dirty' diesel and petrol imports a year should be banned by the Government to cut emissions - and prevent the country becoming a dumping ground for unwanted UK cars.

Casati wrote: » Although it's popular to talk about how dirty diesels are now, the facts are they produce less greenhouses gases than most equivalent petrols. CO2 reduction has been seen with diesel take up Ultimately every car produced is bad for the environment and people should try to reduce unnecessary journeys and ideally work closer to their jobs, the commuters driving 50,000km p.a in their Leaf's are not saving the planet.
zilog_jones wrote: » The problem with diesels is about local pollution from NOx and particulates, which has a direct impact on the health of humans and other life. By driving an EV you're moving your emissions out of populated areas, and emissions from large-scale facilities like power stations can be treated much more effectively than individual passenger cars. And you'd still be emitting less CO2 compared to an ICE vehicle (even taking into account power transmission loss, etc.).[/quote Ultimately my point is about reducing consumption rather than focusing on the fuel source
