There is a very real possibility that this is a 12 rds dance with very little impacting or intense action..

That is as much a possibility as it being a hard tough and offensively impacting encounter.

Anyone claiming either way could be tripped up..

Don't at all be surprised if nobody gets hurt, relatively speaking..

Thats the first I have heard about headgear stabilising your neck, if anything it would make it worse because you have extra mass on your head to move around.

The only thing that will stabilise your neck are strong neck muscles.

He is a natural striker but he is still up against a man who is a natural striker but a gifted defensive boxer who has been at it since he was 4, trained by 2 world champions since the first lacing up, 2 real tough assholes who would be nasty ****ers for a grown man to train with. He learned it rough.

Does Conor have exceptional power, no, nothing suggests that he does. Very good power though, certainly it will be respected though.

He is going to try to land big punches to put Mayweather down and that will leave him very exposed.

If he wins it will be because he does things that no other boxer does, a Roy Jones Jnr type, awkward, unexpected and illogical from the style that has become the norm in boxing.

He tapped quickly because he wasn't getting out of it.

All that being said he was absolutely cream crackered and barely able to stand fitness wise and was definitely glad it was over. I'm sure I mentioned it in the MMA forum a few times but I spoke to Conor's mam a few months after it (before the rematch) and she was saying he was sick as a dog in the run-up to that first fight and they expect him to win next time.

Canelo is a puncher, an incredible one, he is an exceptional puncher.

He is a man that could knock McGregor out, a 40 yr old Floyd isn't probably going to knock him cold.

The next turn in the road to fight night is the NSAC decision to approve 8oz gloves. Who does it benefit most in the fight? I would say Mayweather. The man with the faster hand speed and greater accuracy would benefit from lighter and smaller gloves. McGregor losses out with less glove surface area to defend himself from the barrage of punches coming from Floyd.
