Road and footpaths all now correctly reinstated instead of temp coverings. Now the wait begins to see what the next step will be. Saw a KN Group van with a mounted cherrypicker type setup driving slowly up the local roads looking at poles and overhead lines. Fingers crossed there be more movement soon
I can confirm that the current forecast date suggests that your area should be connected to the fibre network by March 2018.

To say it's a big improvement is an understatement, it's superb! I'm getting more than 930Mbps DL and almost 100Mbps UL and it never slows down. On one day there were nine different KN teams installing FTTH in my area. Well done Eir, this broadband has really improved our quality of life in this beautiful rural area.

spix wrote: » I ordered FTTH bundle with tv and phone a few weeks ago after being told it was live. It actually wasn't live so they just activated the phone line and was told I wouldn't be charged until the broadband was eventually installed. Just got a bill today for landline only which is more expensive than the broadband/tv/phone line combined, phoned up Eir and they're telling me this is right and I got to pay more for less because they sold me something which was not ready to be installed. What a joke.

spix wrote: » Not in writing, on the phone with customer service after the KN techician showed up and said it wasn't live yet. I was very specific and they said that I definitely would not be charged until the broadband was installed as long as I don't use the phone. I haven't used it once and they are still trying to charge me 62 euro for phone only when the package with phone/broadband/tv that I signed up to should have been 45 euro for first 6 months.

Leaving the old crappy DSL behind Yahoo  Took the hit on the 200 euro install, Eir are a shower of ****'s whereas I would bring Digiweb out for dinner
