Official Conor McGregor thread (part 3) *Updated Warning in 1st Post Re:Boxing match

The last thread was nearing the 10k post limit so here's part 3.

The same rules as the last thread apply here. People seem to have strong opinions either way when it comes to McGregor and threads here tend to get a bit heated from time to time. Please keep it civil and discuss all things Conor in a mature way.

Any name-calling, trolling, baiting, or being a general ass-hat will earn you a ban from the thread and possibly the forum.
If you have an issue with a post, please use the report post function.

Any off topic posts will be deleted.
Any "Do you even train Bro?" or "I'm an mma fan longer than you" type posts are not permitted either. They only make you look like a fool and as a result, everyone hates you. Yes everyone.

I can't believe we're using a shot Zab Judah landed as evidence Conor can do the same. From a technical point alone, Zab is one of the greatest boxers of all time, a near perfect technician. The fact he could only land a few flush shots on Floyd is more telling of how damn good you have to be to hit Floyd rather than the opportunities it gives a Boxing bum of doing the same.

Ok that's a fair prediction. I agree with you, if Floyd stops him in 3 rounds those numbers will be fairly accurate.

I think it goes at least 9 rounds. I'm confident in Conor's chin all day long and Nate hit Conor with 2 absolute peaches to the body that didn't seem to affect him, so I'm hopeful his body holds up to Floyd's body-work.

Andre Ward is *literally* on record saying Nate Diaz was his main sparring partner for the Chad Dawson fight. He has said incredibly good things about Nate's boxing ability and he'd know better than us having done hundreds of rounds of sparring with him.

Just because someone fights in MMA doesn't mean they can't box well under boxing rules.

Agreed and Conor dropped Nate 3 times inside 2 rounds. Totally outclassed him.

If it went 9 rds I would think Floyd lands maybe 150 shots that we can see clearly as landed. Conor would likely be in a bad way, and really should be getting pulled out.....

Conor lands maybe 80-100 with again, probably 0 or very very few that are in any way significant/hurtful

The chap has next to no chance and he knows it....

You keep saying this but anyone who knows Conor well or anyone who has followed his career knows his self-belief is bordering on delusion.

He 100% does not *know* he has no chance.

He believes he will beat Floyd. You're free to call him nuts but I've no doubt in my mind he believes he will win. Everyone who knows Conor well is adamant he believes he will win too.

The chap is in it for a payday, and best of luck to him. He's not stupid. He is a career fighter and he is a boxing fan. He knows damn well what is in front of him.

I give McGregor probably 0.01% but I will agree with the above, he 100% believes he will ko Floyd of course theres no way to prove but I'd bet my life on it, hes an obsessed borderline crazy when it comes to his opponents.

Frankly you're revealing your ignorance now trying to compare a 172lb man fighting a guy who consistently weighs in at 245lbs with Conor v Floyd.

You're also revealing complete ignorance of every aspect of Conor's personality, history and career by saying he "doesn't believe he will win". Owen Roddy, John Kavanagh, Artem Lobov (basically every member of his Coaching set-up) have 100% belief in Conor.

Conor himself 100% believes he will win. You've every right to call them delusional clowns but to constantly state as fact they are all lying is ridiculous.

Well, in this comparison your theory isn't 100 percent accurate.

1st: Conor is at least fighting MMA
2nd: It doesn't take a massive shot to drop most men, bigger than you or not.
3rd. Conor would likely have more chance to land a heavy punch on the UFC HW champion in an MMA contest than the hail mary KO shot on Floyd in a boxing contest.

Very slim chance against the UFC HW champion.

Even slimmer against Mayweather in a boxing ring under boxing rules.

The reason she has no chance is due to the relative difference in ability to supply and or receive kinetic energy. I believe that is comparable to Conor vs Stipe. I cannot see a scenario where conor wins. You asked the question - that is my answer and reason.
