Sweet Science wrote: » There is no way Floyd would agree to lose the fight . Nobody is saying that ?
wonderfullife wrote: » It's grand, I get it - none of you respect Mixed Martial Arts but they are still 4 world titles in 2 weight classes. It's pretty pathetic that there's nothing Conor can do in this fight that you people will give him credit for. If he KO's Floyd, TKO's him or wins on points, you'll be alleging rigged fights and all sorts. Bunch of salty haters. For the record, my prediction for the fight I have made 3 times on this thread is a Floyd Mayweather TKO victory in the 9th round. But if Conor shocks the world I'll be the first to give him every credit. You guys are just sad haters.
wonderfullife wrote: » Ok so if Conor somehow wins you'll give him credit and not look to make excuses likes "Floyd is old" or "Conor got lucky"?
Burial. wrote: » Aww diddums not everyone sucks off Conor McGregor so we're all haters. Okay then, bye bye don't let the door hit you on the way out.
Burial. wrote: » You said your self if "Conor shocks the world". Is that not the essence of getting lucky?
wonderfullife wrote: » What can Conor do in this fight to earn your respect and/or admiration as a boxer? What's the bar he needs to pass for you to say "jeez he's pretty good"?
Burial. wrote: » Nothing.

wonderfullife wrote: » Ah I see. So even beating one of the best boxers of all-time wouldn't be enough for you to give him credit for his latent boxing ability? Seems legit.
Augeo wrote: » He won't.
wonderfullife wrote: » I agree. I think Floyd will wear him down and I hope the towel will be thrown in the 9th to protect Conor from his own toughness. But it's amusing that people are saying if he wins they won't give him credit.
Sweet Science wrote: » Genuine question . How does he get to the 9th ?
Augeo wrote: » Floyd making it a good night out for folks IMO.
Sweet Science wrote: » But in a genuine fight . Im curious how he/she thinks it would go to the 9th

Jimmy Bottlehead wrote: » Good argument. I liked your reasoning in paragraph 2, where you outlined your points and backed them all up. Congrats. You truly are an polemicist extraordinare. Now back to Posting For Grown-Ups: Amateur wrestling is usually viewed as the toughest combat sport to compete in, due to the relentless grind, the weight cuts and the sport itself. Of course, that's up for debate, but in MMA most of the athletes will agree it's the art that they find the toughest to participate in.
wonderfullife wrote: » And there ya go. Haters. He gets to the 9th for many reasons. Floyd won't hurt him or drop him. It'll be an accumulation of damage that calls a halt to proceedings. Conor's right eye region is vulnerable to cuts and while the scar tissue has healed since the Mendes and Aldo fights, he's still prone to that opening. It'll probably be an accumulation of damage on that region that brings it to an end.
The Reservoir Dubs Anchorman wrote: » Haters? Your saying Floyd wont hurt or drop him? Floyd has fought 49 times and never lost, he's been arguably one of the best boxers ever and you think he wont be able to hurt Mcgregor? Your loyalty to the MMA fighter is getting in the way of common sense here.
walshb wrote: » My three word reply you quoted was in response to a three word reply to my claim...see, there's always more to it. There's a really good thread I posted a few years back on boxing beating all other sports for overall toughness......Loads of criteria looked at and when all added up boxing was numero uno! Go chase it...
wonderfullife wrote: » I think Floyd will out-class Conor and beat him. He won't hurt him. Floyd hasn't KO'd anybody since Hatton. That Victor Ortiz KO was complete nonsense, Conor won't be at that craic of touching gloves or dropping his hands.
