DaveSuarez wrote: » A year late but I started playing this yesterday, damn it's addictive. Reading back the thread and seeing all you guys that have been grinding for a year and still haven't "caught them all" is making me wonder if I made the right decision to start. I have 39 caught so far. I had no idea that the team you picked at the start would influence the gyms you could train at etc. I just picked yellow cause I liked the guys hair It's annoying because I read you can just train at friendly gyms but every gym in Waterford seems to be blue, I can even access one from my bedroom. Should I just avoid all gyms until I reach a certain level?

I ended up getting my Tyrannitar, Ampharos and Typhlosion, leaving me just Unown and Girafarig to complete the dex. I also hatched a Snorlax, my first hatched one, yesterday to complete the week. Now, do I do a four hour round trip on Monday to my "local" Girafarig nest??
