As above, I reckon there is big incentive for them to win by a wide margin tonight. As it stands there could be three teams on nine points. Dublin are a bit ahead of Donegal now, but a big win tonight would almost certainly assure them of a final place no matter what happens against Monaghan which could be another tricky close encounter.

I could see them winning by more than ten, but most attractive bet is the 5/4 to score at least two goals.

BTW, you can get -9 with Powers.

I dunno. Kerry and Donegal only beat them by fairly small margins, didn't they? So I don't think anyone is guaranteed a hockeying. Depends on which Roscommon team shows up and how much fight there is left in them, this late in the season, where relegation is a certainty.

If Berno is still rusty, he is left on his own up front (the way O'Gara was in the first couple of games) and the suppply to him is cut off, or is piss poor, we may struggle to rack up big scores. We'll still win, but not by a humungous margin. I hope I'm wrong, as scoring difference may well determine who finishes in the top two.

rossies did well last year but were absolutely destroyed by Kerry in semi-final.

Perfect day for football. Be surprised if its not a rout.

Prediction: 3 - 17 to 0 - 9.

Possibly but I hope it doesnt turn out like that, Roscommon have put a lot of work into their underage structure over the last 15 years and produced consistently good underage teams for a county of that size.

Dublin really only tend to lower the blade for closest rivals but they need the points difference now, so that changes that.

You only have to look at the line up to see what the intent is!

They'll beat the handicap anyway.

The hurling relegation stakes are more complex than I first thought!

If Dublin win, Cork lose then it will be points difference between Dublin, Cork and Waterford/Clare. If Waterford lose then Dublin should have better difference assuming there is winning margin of two or more in both games.

If Dublin win and Cork win then either Clare or Waterford would come ahead of us on head to head.

It will be interesting day.

What was 16,17,18,19 points handicaps had a look earlier think 13 was 5/2 but it wouldn't go any further

Handicap was 9. At evens. Basically free money.

Had a few bob on 15+ at 5s.

I remember Kerry hammered Roscommon last year in the league semi they looked very loose with the marking.
Did the same happen again?

I've given Paul Flynn some stick before, but he was back to his best tonight.

They were very poor in nothing like the team with the potential we saw two years ago.

I don't know if they all left the country, the panel or just don't want to play for the management team, but about 4 of them got stuck in tonight.

Some of the points that the Dubs scored tonight were brought into the scoring zone without anyone going out to meet them.

Nothing went right for Roscommon at the same time, they had good shots saved, hit the posts a few times, the Dubs were fired up, they faced the best team Dublin fielded this year, they looked doomed to division 2 from the start, they were carrying poor form into the game.

Some wonder points went over for Dublin and the boys went at it harder than they've done recently. They played very well.

You wouldn't expect any team to beat another county with 20 times it's population with huge financial resources playing at home
