Indeed, it [creation of the shoes for a girlfriend with presumably no interest in cycling] was a challenge. The project spanned about 18 months, and sadly, outlived my relationship.

The last time we moved (16 years ago) it seemed fairly straightforward but this time we seem to be in a vicious circle whereby some utility companies won't accept a change of address without proof. And what proof do they require - yes a utility bill! FFS! Several other institutions whom I contacted, thanked me for informing them of my change of address by letter to my old address.

Think I'm about 5000-6000km in now. The PDF I found online about maintenance strongly recommends using roller brake grease, but it doesn't say why. Anyone know if standard lithium grease would be a big mistake?

I'd always prefer to get bits in B&M shops where possible, but I bought the grease online in the end. If the shop in Goatstown doesn't have it, maybe check GreenAer.

I lumbered around work very slowly I completely forgot I had some over or under pronation issues (basically I use the outside of my feet too much) as it hasn't caused me any issues in years. Flared right up. Lessons are running is evil or perhaps I just over did it by skipping couch to 5 k and going full whack and then some. Back to the relative comfort of my bike methinks
