IncognitoMan wrote: » Yeah I did forget about Splatoon 2. Be interesting to see how well it sells on the Switch. As you said 4m units sold is impressive on the Wii U.
DrGreenthumb wrote: » the fact the switch needs a smart phone for online functionality is a joke
Atari Jaguar wrote: » It's stupid but not a deal breaker. I have a smartphone so whatever. Also just means out and about you just need a 3G/4G connection on your phone, on commutes I find bus wifi or train wifi to be insufferable & I quite like the idea that I won't have to get a separate SIM card for the Switch like I did with the PSVita 3G model. Further confirms to me that this isn't meant for home use like Nintendo is touting. Wait hold on actually just as I was typing something hit me - did anyone get confirmation that the switch connects to the internet via Ethernet?? If docked it doesn't connect wired I'll scream. That drove me mental with Wii U.

IncognitoMan wrote: » Yeah I know Bloodborne didn't do huge numbers (not my kind of game either) and well the last of us was a remaster less than a year after the original so it's kinda not the same. The last of us definitely outsold 4m units.
CiDeRmAn wrote: » It sold 4.92m worldwide. The PS3 predecessor sold 5.8mhttp://www.vgchartz.com/gamedb/?name=The+last+of+us Bloodborne is possibly the best game hosted by the PS4 so far, whether you like it or not. Still only sold 2.55m, far outsold by the best on the WiiU, not even in the same class as the big titles on the 3DS

The Nintendo Switch won't include any video apps upon its 3rd March launch. The storied Kyoto-based company confirmed this information in a statement to Kotaku. "All of our efforts have gone toward making the Nintendo Switch system an amazing dedicated video game platform, so it will not support any video-streaming services at launch," Nintendo said. "However, support for video-streaming services is being considered for a future update."
IncognitoMan wrote: » Anyway getting off point which was the switch is launching with what 3 games worth playing inside its first 9 months on the market. Zelda, Mario kart and splatoon 2, 4 games inside the 1st year if Mario doesn't get delayed. That's just not good enough for a system that has to compete with 2 other home consoles on the market and is charging more. Nintendo are marketing this as a home console you can take on the move after all.
