Yeah, I dunno how long it'd take to get a gym up to level 7, even if you're doing it that way.

Lowbies will be able to have a decent shot at gyms, which is fair enough. Should encourage teaming up with beginners.

Usually link he said above they tend to have obvious names, like bot in their name or variations of the same name or something insulting. Person around here like that with loads of dragonites but most players I've seen have been banned.

Love the sound of the bonus system! The gym update will defo have pros and cons, it'll help newer players attack gyms and make it much easier for experienced players, but it'll defo help the spoofers.

Yeah, I'm not sure how it will work but I hope the 500+ remains for lower CP.

This could be a good thing, we might start seeing level 10 gyms that are not just stacked with the usual mons.

Turned on pokemon go before bed last night and there was a bulbasaur nearby. Nice, first one I got and brought me up to level 25. Long grind to go up a level now.

Ponyta is the most disappointing evolve, had one about 840cp and evolved it, thought I'd get a beast. Got 1220 Rapidash

There is a squirtle nest in merrion square. Spawn every 15 to 20 mins. Have caught 6 already today as I work beside it. Getting closer to my first blastoise

Just hatched my fourth 10k egg, level 24. A Jynx.. Previous hatches had been a Hitmonchan, Electabuzz and Magmar so haven't had much luck

Hmm it might be that it is changed to the trainers level, so it wont affect us much really, just new people

Finally hatched a Lickitung from the 5km egg!! Not a new Pokémon but didn't think it would take so long to hatch, currently on 666 eggs hatched. And he has hyperbeam

Still waiting on a Grimer from the 5km

I can see Niantic's motivation behind their strong focus on banning those who breach their ToS. What would happen if they released a new tracker that didn't perform as well as expected due to all the sites and services polling their servers continuously? I believe that if we want a working tracker, those sites and services have to go.

With that said, I'd like them to hurry up doing that so they can release a tracker that works!

Nice on the Lickitung, it took me so long to see one I thought it was something you'd get from a 10km egg.

I've 2 gyms on my road, and I think each of them keep being taken by bots. Literally the username is mumbled up letters and numbers and at level 27. As soon as they take the gym it automatically says "Battles Won 1". There is never time for someone to battle as it happens straight away!

Does this seem like a bot? Or am I paranoid?

I've noticed the "Battles Won 1" happen to me before, but I've never really thought anything of it. One of the times it happened I held the gym for a good few hours after, so I never really passed any heed on it.

Yes I find it odd as I could see on the screen the two gyms changing within a few seconds of each other, and there would be maybe a two minute walk between the gyms. So don't know where they got the time to fight and win as they changed too quickly! Maybe my paranoia has set it so!

Well if it was the same account grabbing both gyms, then you're definitely looking at bots. It can be hard to prove that sometimes though, especially if you get server lag or your internet decides to be a butt to you.

Im done with 10k eggs. Hatched 14 now. Got my 5th Electabuzz today. 2 Hitmonchan. 2 magmar. 2 Pinsir. Scyther Onix and my very first 1 was probs my best. Aerodactyl.

I don't blame you. It takes so long to hatch the bloody things and your luck has been real bad unfortunately

Are you going to just stick to 5km from now on? There is, after all, far more variety at least with them.

I dunno mate. 5k being a pain in the side of my back too. Iv a few 2k. At least I might get a few decent starter candies and don't feel so bad if it's vermin as can grind through them fast enough.

I hear ya on the starter candies. I did the same at one point and nearly drove myself off eggs completely as the amount of Rattatas and Weedles made me want to throw my phone at the nearest feckin' wall! With that said, when you do get a starter in an egg, it almost makes it worth it... almost! :pac:

I'm pretty sure the "Battles Won 1" message comes with the 'mon itself. At first, I noticed it on my own 'mons placed in gyms until it dawned on me that it's the same 'mons I keep seeing the message on - no matter how recently I placed them in a gym.

Then the penny dropped, this 'mon has won a battle in the past - just not here and now. It's another wishlist feature the app could do with, the ability to see this stat on the 'mon itself without having to view it via placing in a gym.

Up to level 21 now and I've pumped up snorlax to 1897. Room for more, but I'll have to get the candy first.

It's funny with each level up when you look at the xp needed for the next stage and you think, that'll take ages, but not too long later you level up.

In saying that, I now need 75,000 for level 22. That really will take ages.
