Which means the prosecutors will have to determine whether or not to go to trial again without that as evidence. Steven Avery's conviction wasn't based on the same because, as shown in the series, the courts agreed not to use Dassey's testimonies/confession as evidence in the trial against Steven Avery. As such there was no breach of his constitutional rights like there is with Dassey.

Think the brother and ex boyfriend know a lot more than they've been letting on, deleting voicemails etc. and wasn't she in contact with someone dodgy in the days leading up to her death.

I'm guessing a fat ,smug , smarmy , creepy looking prosecutor will be assigned to the case. He will make trumpesque style comments (Most of which will be untrue) that will turn people against Brendan before he's even had a chance to defend himself. Even more surprising will be Brendan's appointed lawyer who spend the majority of his time doing the prosecutors job. Or maybe he will be grand...

Okay, obviously an extreme example, but if they were to go after Brendan (or Steven if he somehow got out too), it would have to be air-f*cking-tight, otherwise they'll be instantly accused of trying to get them back in jail.
