The new appraisal feather is totally useless. why did they even waste time, adding something that nobody asked for? The game needs a working tracking system, 1 vs 1 battles etc.
Tenger wrote: » Do you know what the phrases mean? The appraisals are pretty clear once you know the meaning of the phrase. The tracking system does work. If you can see a pokemon then you are within 200m of it, then its just a question of triangulating its position. Its a bit more work than 3 steps but it does work. I was in San Francisco and got to try out the Beta 'nearby' system they have there. Shows pokemon at nearby pokestops, select them and it highlights the pokestops so you can walk to it. This is in combination to the 'Sightings' systems. It was great at the time, however I feel it was a little too easy to be selective. And this system is unfair to rural players, unless they increase spawns away from pokestops.

It's fine on long roads with no junctions but otherwise a pure lottery. Have they given up on the nearby beta? It sounds way too easy and not much fun just going to pokestops to pick things up. Also testing it in San Francisco which is flooded with Pokemon as it is seems a bit pointless.

Have had a couple of sightings of people on my land recently (where i wouldnt have seen them before) and have no real idea why they have been there. Fairly sure theyre not causing any trouble but still its not best practise to have strangers on private land.

If something good comes up on the nearby thing, I open the scanner app to get the location. Walking around to track something with no idea if you're even getting further away is a load of bóllocks, especially with the possibility of it disappearing.
