Contact your local club (or the closest one to local)
GO and have a look and check out the equipment they use
Maybe have a go under the tuition of someone who is experienced
Make an informed decision on what type of firearm would suit your needs
You need a valid reason to own a firearm, target shooting or hunting, so you will probably need to join a range and/or get permission from a few landowners or join a hunting gun club.
Go to or ring a few firearms dealers to get the best price for that type of firearm
Place a deposit on the firearm
Bring your proof of purchase (which will have firearms info and serial number) along with your range membership and landowners permission to the local Garda Station.
Ask for the Garda who deals with firearms license applications.
Fill out the forms.
The Superintendent may ask you to put in security measures. You may get a visit from a Crime Prevention Officer to access your home and make security recommendations. These include safes, alarms, secure doors and windows etc.
Make these changes and then wait for the paper work to be completed.

here is a serious tip.go to a local butcher and get any old meet off him you can.put all the meat out in the field where u are goin to place the trap for bout 2 weeks.this will draw in all mags n g crows.not just in ur area but for like 10 miles round.make sure to clean up the meat when putting out the trap.place fresh meat in the trap and just wait n c the amount of them will catch u wont believe it.let us know how u gt on and if any1 is goin to try it.

Tired of having the missus give out all the blood and bits and somtimes smell hanging around your car after transporting a shot deer carcass or game?
Fed up of your kit being soaked?Your muddy hound after a days shooting prancing around inside the car and ruining the upholstery?An emergency sleeping bag cover?Need to move generally sloppy stuff around,and thousand and one other jobs.
Get onto the internet or if you are brave down to your local undertaker...and purchase a NEW:eek: bodybag.Or if you are a bit of a cheapskate search the net for surplus army bodybags.This BTW does not mean that somone has been transported in one either in case you are worried....Well Cevat Emptor on this one:D
Basically these marvellous things are tough,waterproof,relatively cheap compared to their commerical counterparts which can run to really crazy money.They have plenty of sturdy grab handles for transport and carry.Dont need much attention,simply hose out,and maybe scrub down with disenfectant,are easily foldable and storable.If you sell your car or 4WD,you dont have to go and re buy a custom and expensive boot liner anymore.
And finally should you shuffle off the mortal coil whilst out shooting,it can be put to it's original use to transport you on part of your final journey.;):D

Make sure you dont zip the dog in totally! Leave his head out so he can breathe.Ditto the same with the carcass.Of course you wont fit in the antlers and head ,but if you can fit a roe deer in a rucksack........

You will need to fit a YoDave or Brooks trigger kit to loose the play in a CZ 452 trigger. About €15 for the kit posted.

I had a pair of 50 watt Hella FF 50 car spot lamps and being a tight old sod I made a foxing lamping out of one of them. This is good for 150m as is but the range can be extended by fitting a 50 watt H7 lamp that gives out 80% more light - get them off E bay or Halfords.

This lamp is used to take that final shot. We locate the fox first by scaning and sweeping the fields using a Lightforce 170 with dimmer.

If you can get a container like this one......

from builders,they used to contain plasticizer and a consaw and cut one of the sides off the tank (the sides are rounded), about 6" in, it'll leave you with a nice lip to prevent spillage.

You should be able to get 2 trays from 1 tank.

And remember, get an adult to help you with the scissors.................

OK I have found this place in the UK that sells stainless steel nuts, bolts etc.............. and placed an order for some 2.5mm x 8mm hex screws for my scope mounts.
