If I click on Topics, then Society and Culture, I end up with a scroll bar, because the whole menu can't fit on the page...and I'm using a 1920*1080p screen.

Utter madness.

Are they just the forums you're subscribed to? Mobile works fine for me, the only difference is new categories under the list of forums I'm subscribed to.

Yes. I primarily work from a laptop and hate using my mobile for stuff. Avoid it where I can - don't see why I'd use mobile when I can have a 15ish inch screen and a full keyboard.
