    Hi all,

I for one still want to get out and get some shots down by the docklands and the quays.

Please vote for the date that would suit you - we'd aim to meet at 8pm. Can confirm details once we know the date.

Do you have a tripod? I think you would likely need one with the nice lights dow there at night time, though the meetup is at 7.30pm so not sure if ye will be there until dark...

I'm good for all nights, provided I'm not working down in Kilkenny again I can do the 21st no bothers! :D

Great :) So it looks like we have a leaning towards the 21st.

The only reason I said 7.30pm is so we could wander about - but I'm happy to change that time - I don't mind at all.

Niteclubdecks - best advice I can give you is to get a tripod - you'll need one to do the long exposures/night shots. It will mean you can do trails of light from the traffic but also get nice shots of the buildings that are lit up.

Also, it's good to google the area and look at images that are posted - to give you an idea of shots that have been taken - not saying you should replicate them - but it will give you ideas. If there are any you would like to try to do - whatever the effect, maybe post a link here and we could take a look, maybe someone could advise you?

Ah ok perfect, then you can focus on the shots :) Finding the right angles, interesting spots etc. You probably won't need a tripod if you don't have the shutter speed controls in the powershot, but no matter - you will still get some lovely shots I'm sure.

Normally meet up around the place we're going, usually a few people exchange numbers if needed!

Confirmed - Thursday 21st it is!

Meeting outside Jury's on the quays - this means that if the weather is poor, we can pop in and have a coffee whilst hoping it clears. It's also right where we want to be for shots, close to the bridge etc.

Time wise, what do you guys think? Say 8pm - not too early?

Any of the camera shops will have them, Conns, Berminghams, Halls, Camera Centre, will all have them. Think Argos have them too!
