He counted the Yorkshires Ripper Peter Sutcliffe as a friend along with Paul Gadd (Gary Glitter) And Jonathan King. That would be enough to get the alarm bells ringing with most normal folks.

why do they wait until he is dead before attacking him?

surely his friends in high places would have known?

having said that plenty of people in this country defended cathal o searcaigh and David norris for their interest in young boys.

Sorry for going off-topic but Pete Townshend is in no way a 'sick ****'. It may have been completely daft and naive of him to think that he could start his own investigation into the roots of online child pornography but that doesn't make him sick OR a paedophile. It wouldn't surprise me if Townsend was exploring onion sites which is fairly innocent. However if that is true and he ended up on some of these vile websites his excuse is pretty lame

Can you send me a link to where I can buy that book?I've been keeping an eye out for it for ten years but can't find it anywhere.

I never liked him on 'Jim'll Fix it,' and he was bit weird on TOTP, but never suspected he was a nonce. There are at least 10 victims who are talking. Given how he rolled, a regular high speed and shameless sex pest, 500+ is more the likely figure. I hope there are not a cult of defenders like there was for Lance Armstrong. That said, he was just one in a sport where most of the TDF winners were later shown to be cheats, and he did help raise money. Saville the nonce did raise money, but rape and molestation can't be set against that.

Jonathan King was friends and worked with convicted paedophile DJ Chris Denning. Have a look at Chris Dennings wiki page... it also mentions Tam Paton, the manager of the Bay City Rollers - apparently he was convicted of gross indecency of teenage boys.

Edit - just to add I'm not sure if Saville had anything to do with the other men...

If every man took advantage of a young teenage girl who acted inappropriately towards him then there wouldn't be many who weren't taken advantage of. Lots of young girls tend to test out and practice their flirting and attraction skills on older men that they subconsciously perceive to be safe. I know I did and thank feck the men never took me up on it. They fended me off nicely, never putting themselves in a difficult position but never humiliating me either. I watched my daughter try it when she was younger too. Unfortunately, many girls seem to try it with men whose self-esteem is boosted by this and end up in bother with them.

I think one ripper victim was found quite near his home. Not that I suggest he was involved just thought of it when i saw the photo of him and Sutcliffe

Did the transcript come out before or after the show aired? Seeing as one line of it is accurate, if it was put out before the show was aired it is almost certain that the likes of Merton wrote the whole thing :pac:

Of course the abused girls are guilt free. If you read and consider my post you will see that I'm arguing that a burden of guilt should be shared by parents, schools, co-workers, teachers and the community in general, who allowed the girls to find themselves in these situations, often repeatedly, and didn't listen to or act on any complaints from the girls at the time.

Maybe this was because of the level of acceptance of Saville's type of behaviour in society at the time.

the parents have nothing to do with it,jimmy was in the position [as a childrens campaigner]of trust,he should have been caught years ago ,over the masonic child abuse scandal in the channal isles,but as everyone connected to the case,judges/police/prosecutors were freemasons as was jimmy,the case was dropped as not having enough evidence, you dont need to believe me just google its all there
