Michelle Bachmann is more dangerous than Palin when it comes to religion. She has no problems spouting that god told her to do this and that. Scarey when you think about it. I think she is too extreme to win the presidency though and her supporters would help her lose by making her look even more extreme. I would actually prefer if she did go up against Obama as he would have a better chance of winning imo.
I know where I'd rather get sick, provided I didn't get shafted by insurance in the US.

It's a massive, massive . . . massive exagerration; there was a case recently (on yahoo news) about someone going to jail to get healthcare. It's good in the US provided you are insured. If you can't afford insurance or if you get dropped/not covered by your insurance company then the costs can be crippling: it's one of the highest causes of bankruptcy.

God can't help you now.

A Goddess might. If it was in her interest to do so, of course.

Fans are changing wikipedia to cover a recent boo boo.

Religous stuff aside her reaction to China deciding to back of the US Dollar as a reserve currency should have her being mocked mercilessly.

That doesn't make him right or wrong though. You quote one of the greatest rationalists of all time, yet you used argument ad populum; one of the most popular irrational arguments of all time.

Iirc, there is a pretty significant problem in the US with covering elderly care costs. Many are just dumped out and left at home with the parents instead of getting the proper attention they need. Clearly you aren't one of these elderly nursing home drop outs!

See? Isn't this type of dialogue constructive?
I've just made a very vague point and I wanna show it to the world!

You might think it's good until there's something seriously wrong with you. If I ever get cancer or a brain tumor, I know where I'll be going.
My grandfather was recently quite sick (i.e. we weren't sure if he'd live or not and he spent months in and out of hospital) and I only recall hearing good things about the doctors treating him and the service/waiting times.
This wasn't in a private hospital either.

Quite anecdotal, but there's at least a few more people in the country who think so, and are speaking from experience of our supposedly terrible system.

Of course I don't know what country the doctors were from, somehow it never came up when we were discussing the work of highly trained specialists.

I was paying €3,300 for myself and wife in Ireland up to last Christmas. Came over to the States, and for the equivelant of €2,450 have got the same coverage plus my meds cost €55 per month here and I was paying €130 in Ireland. I remember reading some story of a guy with awful ailments wanting to go to jail to sort out his problems. The reason it got in The Inquirer was exactly that ...... a one off.
Check these prices out for yourself.

The whole so called attitude to health care where they claim to love the jebus but leave the sick to the mercy of insurance companies is baffling; but them again they are pro life and pro war.
The dollar is actually stonger against the euro recently since three years ago when it was around 1.5.
Only Republicans with vested interests and idiots that listen to Fox news (and believe it) get sucked in with this crap. Going to a doctor costs €13 approx and if you need a consultant it is free if your doc refers. In Ireland my doctor was €60 (reduced to €35 with Insurance) and the €130 for a consultant there was reduced to maybe €80 after Insurance.

A point I forgot was that all people, insurance or not, have one free medical a year.

Yes, I remember reading this on-line. One of the reasons that we retired to the US was 1) the cost of living, 2) cost of isurance, 3) the relatively weak dollar and sunny Summer weather.

Surprised no-one is talking about her wanting to have the same spirit as John Wayne from her town in Iowa. Except it turns out it was John Wayne Gacy.

We also noticed this between the States and Ireland. Ireland has a bit of catching up to do before it can start wagging any fingers.

Between this and the Newsweek cover, she takes a great picture:

Rick Perry entering the race should hopefully split the conservative loon vote somewhat, and on the subject of Perry:
