Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I watched my car run over 100K miles this morning.

I must change the oil and filters in the next few weeks.

Booked the GTi in for NCT (3rd September nearest date, ffs). Lord only knows what that'll show up

Got shot of herselfs 9-3 in favour of a S40. It was a busy week.

I bought a few little bits for my yoke today. Bought canbus LED number plate lights, front and rear LED interior lights and a new gear lever from the MY2010 onwards vRS. Amazing how small little things make you happier.

Just fitted a pair of chrome interior handles to my focus. Lost about a pint of sweat in the process. Looks much better now.

Changed starter motor on my punto. As it worthless car in market, and i need it just for little driving, then i decided not goin sell for long time, and will put brand new starter motor. Ordered in uk ebay - title said - brand new, unopened... etc, ok.. 110 euro delivered, ok.
Today received, and discovered, that this is bloody reconditioned one, emailed seller, he offered half price refund. Ok, Fair enough , let it be reconditioned.
Today installed (had to adopt a bit, cos it wasn't exactly same what i was after), one connection on solenoid was different, so took off my old unit solenoid, and put on reconditioned one.
    Works great . :)

Put a spoiler on my yoke and replaced the bootlid along the way, going in for paint 1st thing in the morning, the spoiler was a big mutha 3 piece wrap around with two coner pieces on the 1/4 panels so a bit drilling was required.

    One like this;
    Full?id=4920218

Just hope it looks this good in white!

Also painted the alloys on her aswell

Today I replaced the wiper stalk and indicator/light stalk with new ones!

Next I'm going to color the inside of the headlights black, get xenon set and replace the standard grill with badgeless grill (while removing the other badges on the car).

A can of Novastop works amazing well for that. I've never seen the like of it, it could stop a hole in the rad the size of your fist. Used it on an old Mini a couple of months back, and was stunned with the result.

Yup! You'd have to get them off a scrappy or Vw themselves, but I'd say they'r elike hens teeth because you're not the only one at it ;)

My engine build is finally complete, it's more or less ran in now too. Had a minor hiccup with the software on the ECU but we overcame that. I had done the valve oil seals at Christmas so thought they'd be fine... turns out they weren't so put in a long day yesterday and replaced them, head off, valves out lol but sure it's all fun and games.

The car is much quicker now, my compression is 265psi across all of the cylinders, a healthy standard car is around 135psi :D So when I'm dropping in the high lift cams they'll definitely show a massive gain in power.

Spent 4 hours cleaning and waxing my car today both inside and out.

Started raining on the last polish. I never even got a chance to stand back and admire my work.

No pictures to follow as I'm too pissed off:mad:
