Hi guys, just thought id offer some advice as was in your place last year-
Even if you dont feel you are prepared for the GAMSAT UK exam , it is really really beneficial to sit the exam to get the experience.
The GAMSAT is unlike any exam you have ever done and is testing your ability to manage your time effectively and analyse mountains of information and extract what is important as much as it is testing your scientific knowledge.
Sitting in an examination hall from 9.30 - 5.30 and sitting 3 different types of exams is a gruelling experience and the more familiar you are with it the better you are going to get on
The only other advice i would give is practice , practice and practice essays - you only have one hour to write 2 well thought out and structured essays :
- the essay section is an easy way to seriously increase your overall grade.
- Write an essay on as many broad topics/themes as you can - you'll either get a theme in the exam which you have done or you can twist a different theme to make it relevant
- The Des o' Neill structure/approach to essay A and B is very good
anyway , best of luck to all
