Hi.
I need an accountant for a small job. This is not my area of expertise, so please forgive any mistakes in this post.
Dublin/Meath area.
An unincorporated body with about 1000 transactions needs to have a set of books done. (I assume that means an I/E account and Trial Balance)
Transactions have been entered into an accounting program so ability to import .QIF files* would be very handy and would mean that you don't have to re-key everything.
Please PM with contact details & questions.
Thanks.
* Quicken Interchange Format, some SAGE products can import this.
Thanks to everyone who responded. I think I have enough to go on now
HI, I need an accountant/bookkeeper for a new limited company. I currently run a successful sole-tradership with first rate clients. I intend spinning off a company to deal solely with one niche that I currently service as part of my daily business. This company will deal with multi-national and State contracts and must be kept fully compliant from day one as well as having excellent paper-trail traceability.
I have no interest in an accountant who is swamped with private clients and can not give my business a proper level of attention. As this company grows, and it will, so will its requirement for a greater time-input from its accountant, probably to the point of being a full-time position. So, I don't need a KPMG partner or Einstein, but I do need sombody with common sense and enthusiasm. I also do not want another employee, not yet anyway. So, if you are qualified, and believe we could work together, PM me. There is another small requirement - you must be based in Kildare/Offaly preferably Naas, Newbridge, Edenderry or close surrounds. I am fair and I pay my bills, I am not looking for a freebie or looking to fool someone that they are lucky to be working. This is strictly a business arrangement and I expect to pay for services rendered. Conversely, I have no time for wasters or strokers, so don't even bother if thats you. If that's not you, Pm me, Thanks. Soln.
We are a Hong Kong based company and will be incorporating an Irish company for the purpose of identifying, contacting and managing European business partners, OEM partners, distributors, resellers and/or corporate end-users, taking into account the different European cultures, languages and habits etc.
We don't expect to be very busy from day 1 but expect that we will issue maybe 1-2 invoices a week initially.
The service provider or individual can be based anywhere in Ireland as most of the communication will be via email/phone/fax.
All transaction documents etc.. will be scanned on a weekly basis and emailed for book-keeping records. Bank statements etc.. will be emailed. The service providers office will also be the registered office address of the company.
We prefer a fixed price arrangement that can be subject to revision after 3-6 months, since both parties would have had time to understand each others value.
References will be exchanged before we enter into any agreement. I look forward to hearing from interested parties.

Can anyone recommend an accountant in Dublin who can prepare a US federal tax return?
I'm looking specifically for someone who might have experience with preparing a return where half the year was spent in Ireland and half the year in the USA, work was done and taxes were withheld in both?
I figure I can't be the only one in this situation
