Monster/Zombie/Horror Tournament Discussion/suggestions

    I think we should liven the place up and have been thinking of doing this for a while, since a friend did it for another forum a couple of years ago.

    We select 48 Horror characters and pit them together in a one against one, like a Horror world cup, minus the round 1 part. Straight knock out baby :P

    Different types of Zombies from different films etc would be allowed.

    I'll post again when I have more detail and possible contenders for the title.

    Kinda, but you can vote and give a reason on who you think would win in a head to head. First to 4 votes wins and moves on to next round.

    Zombies from 28 days later v's Mutant Zombies from Resident Evil.

    and we'd debate such as,, well 28 days later zombies move faster and become infected quicker...

    EDIT: 28 days later "zombies" is a debate all by itself.

    Sure but resident evil z's are super mutant zombies bigger, stronger, faster, more violent. Plus they mutate into those dog like mad things with the tongues.

    Yeeps, we can either enter all different zeds depending on creator in to the main tournament or have a Zombie tournament first to decide on the best zed of all time.

    It's a work in progress. :P

    Why 48? Surely for a knock out system 64 or 32 would be the needed figure?


    If you use 48 the it goes 48 - 24 - 12-6 -3


    32 (or 64) would go better as it would be (64) - 32-16-8-4-2-1


    Have our 32 combatants picked first, and all allocated a number.

    Then draw numbers at random to create the first 16 fights.

    Because in some rounds there would be three or four contenders in a head to head, for example, the best Dracula or Frankenstein characters.

    screw it,we'll see what works[the original version of this ran really well]

    Zombie survivor battle[tallahassee vs Alice,for craziness :pac:]

    mindf*ck killers[Jigsaw vs a lot of folks really]

    Ladies night[ the girl from the ring vs that crazy gypsy lady in Drag me to hell]

    the Gorey killers[various slashers]

    supernatural showdown

    sorry if any of these have been done/suggested I don't hang around Noc too much[despite the sig]

    This is largely based on LZ5by5's tournament from a couple of years ago, he did alot of what you suggested. He has given me permission to plagiarise it which was nice of him.

    some nice original ideas in there too Ninja, keep them coming.
