Wheelie bin gravity locks - cheapest supplier + do they work?

    Someone's after putting two or three bags of their rubbish in our wheelie bin, which for some reason is seriously annoying me (We generally only add a bag per week ourselves so bcause of them we've to get it collected two weeks earlier than otherwise), so I was thinking of getting a lock for the green + black bins.

    I've come across these:

    But they seem a tad expensive. I've had a quick look around and the cheapest I've found is http://www.ukwheeliebins.com/wheelie-bin-extras.html

    Can anyone recommend a better/cheaper source? Are they easy enough to fit?

    OP, haven't tried the locks but I've seen them installed on bins outside flats so they must work. Anyway, if someone sees a lock on a bin they'll most likely just go to the one next door.

    You didn't take a look through the bins for any rubbish that might identify the offender did you? You could then leave them on the street and report it as illegal dumping to the council.

    Ah it turned out to be a misunderstanding (long story ;-))
    I do still like the idea of wheelie bin locks though!

    Hi All,
    I live in a house that has six unit's & only four black bin's.
    I do not mind paying for the bin or for it being servised,
    however can I put a lock on the bin....
    As I only rent it from D.C.C.C.

    They D.C.C.C. have replaced The Bin....... to bin wonder land,..
    What about the MY Lock.:mad:
