    The Very sad news is that one of Irelands most loved and enduring performers has died today 26th December 2007..
    Joe had been in bad health recently and we were all praying for his recovery, sadly this was not to be and all my thoughts are with his family, and friends at this very sad time..

    That's awfully sad. He was only 64. Think he fell ill suddenly too only about ten days ago, which was most cruel.

    I'ts not out in the 'Public' Domain ie mainstream news etc.. he only died an hour or so ago, and i got a call to let me know, i am in shock, he will be missed.

    you'd want to be pretty sick to post someting like this if it we're untrue.. Provide a source?? i am the source.

    he was readmitted to Hospital last night with a suspected Brain Hemorrhage and subsequently died today..

    Just heard it announced on RTÉ 2FM. Joe died of a brain haemorrhage in the Mater hospital, Dublin, this afternoon. Very sad story. May he rest in peace.

    Thanks Bard for the Confirmation..

    This is a very sad Ending to a Man that provided such great entertainment in Ireland for such a long time, whatever your taste in music, you have to admire the likes of Joe dolan and Dickie Rock and Many More that Gig non stop and have Survived this Music Business over 40 years when other people have come and Gone.
