Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good offer. These are popping up everywhere lately. Smyths had a load of them and a small local toy shop had a pallet of them when I walked in this week. They must have gotten their numbers completely wrong on these last year. Might explain why this years little holiday vignettes seem to have been produced in such small numbers.

smyths have some discounts on the starwars set, the battlepacks are 12.99, cheapest I've seen in a while.

Just wondering whether the Daily mail offer : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/prmts/article-3072160/FREE-LEGO-toys-starting-Mail-weekend.html will apply here in ireland?

It hasn't always been the case. We have gotten most of the offers over the years, but I think there was one last year that didn't reach Ireland.

Daily mail link says that Easons are participating and as far as I know they only operate in ireland so deal should be available.

  • Registered Users Posts: 963 ✭✭✭James74

I know in previous offers they used Easons in the north. Remember getting the last batch in Easons in Derry.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 974 ✭✭✭Remouad

    Checked Easons today.
They knew about the deal but didn't have any lego and couldn't find anything about it in the paper.
    Looks like it's UK only.
    Arse :(

There is an address you can post your tokens to. Ill post it soon. Easons was named in the paper as doing it and since they are not based in England then they should have been giving them out.

From a quick glance it appears their 'on sale' at the RRP

I saw today the Lego Simpsons minifigures series 2 are 3 for 2 in Hamleys in Dundrum and are €3 each so it's €2 each after the discount. That seems to be the best price around right now.

I'm posting this selfishly so someone else will buy duplicates like I stupidly did and trade me in the trading thread.

Picked up some sets in Tesco.

    Microfighters turbo tank for ~$6
    Microfighters Millennium Falcon for ~€5.24
    Microfighters Tie interceptor for €5.13
Lego Movie Melting Room for ~€6.73

Don't know if it's country wide. Got them in Roxboro, Limerick.

Argos are doing 5 euro vouchers with every €25 spent on Lego.

Not advertised anywhere. Only found out because I was buying a set that was €28!!

Spent over €40 in Tullamore Argos yesterday and didn't get anything :(

Did you spend the €40 all on lego?
At least €25 has to be on lego.
Got it in 2 separate stores in Limerick.

They said that it's going until Wednesday.

Yeap, all on Lego, but is was 3 for 2 so maybe both offers don't apply at the same time, which is fair enough I suppose.

I got both offers at the same time.

Might have to say it to them because the first girl I dealt with didn't remember it until one of the other girls beside her reminded her.

Smyths are selling off the hobbit sets:

    The Lonely Mountain 79018 - €50
Battle of the Five Armies 79017 - €50
    Witch-king Battle 79015 - €10
    Attack on Lake-town 79016 - €20

Kinsale Road store has a good few of 79017 left but I grabbed the last of the other three that were on the shelves. Didn't ask if they had more in stock.

    Not just the hobbit sets.
I just picked up Benny's Spaceship which was also reduced to €50

Thanks for posting @Hoofball I tried Carrigmines and they said the sets were not available until next Tuesday, eventually they agreed I could get a Battle of Five Armies and Attack on Laketown, Manager said staff had bought all the Lonely Mountain and they have no Witch King Battles. Much more helpful in Fonthill where I got a Lonely Mountain. They also told me there would be reductions on Avengers, Chimia and a few others on Tuesday, they didn't mention Benny, wish they had, I would have taken on of them too.

Also noticed the new Technic Crawler Crane in Carrigmines - €129. Not bad.

I popped into symths in jervis street at lunch looking for the lonely mountain set (none left unfortunately) and there was a woman with a trolley full of hobbit lego at the checkout. There must have been 9 battle of the 5 armies sets in the trolley. They would only let her buy 2 of each set though so there's still a few of those in jervis if anyone is looking for one.

where could I get some in Cork?

Are you looking for a specific type or colour? Argos does boxes of loose bricks.

Littlewoods ireland have a good sale on lego at the moment. Use promo code 6KCEE to get an extra 10% off.
I've ordered the new technic arcos truck and got it for 152.10

I'd say of you look around you might even get a 20% discount code. Let us know if you do find one..

  • Moderators Posts: 6,870 ✭✭✭Spocker

Picked up the Merc truck too. I did find a valid 20% elsewhere on boards, but it's not valid on Sale items

So my order arrived from Littlewoods today, guess what they sent me instad of the Merc? Linky

Can't reorder as it's out of stock... :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,515 ✭✭✭NinjaTruncs

I won't have thought you need to re-order, I'd expect them to replace the item for you. You may be waiting a while though, I missed out on it myself but got the crawler crane and fire plane to make up for the disappointment.

Ye, I rang them up, and it does't work that way NT. I have to send back the wrong item (via Parcel Motel, for free) for a full refund, and then re-order - the girl on the phone couldn't do it as it's showing as OOS. I'll just have to wait until it's back, and then try and reorder over the phone to try and get the same price

Oh hopefully they'll be able to sort it out for you and you'll get the merc truck. I actually ended up cancelling my order for the merc not long after posting here as I realised I don't have the funds for such a big set this month. I did order the crawler crane though. Will let you know if it arrives safely.

I ordered the volvo truck and a few smaller items in the past when there was a similar sale on and everything was fine so maybe your order was a once off.

I'd be interested to know if other people who ordered the merc had the same thing happen.

    Sorry to hear that.

I was fighting 2 whole days with myself and today I decided to buy Volvo L350F lego set. 150Euro with discount code. Off course there is no sale anymore. Item back to 210Euro :(

I think the sale is still on in Europe. I saw it mentioned a couple of times.
I think it was + €10 of the littlewoods sale price to have it delivered here.

check mydealz.de - I may have entered the wrong search term there, or there may be a better offer in the threads, that site is VERY specific on it's spelling.

Found it here from the mydealz link: https://www.eggersmann-modellautos.de/shop/LEGO/LEGO-Technic/::67637.html?MODsid=9c1f9e084cfb58ee31fe4f70d4717013

It's coming in at €170 + €10 shipping - I might hold off and just by it direct at full price from Lego instead, in October, as thats when they will be doing double points (effectively 10% discount/back), so the same price

Not really a bargain but the Advent calendars are available now from http://shop.lego.com for €22.99

Only Friends and City. No sign of the Star Wars one yet.

Available from the 11th in smyths for €27.99

They generally sell out really fast.
