Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It works with the 4 MB Ram cart so it's missing none or at least very little animation frames and it pretty much arcade perfect. The PS1 port is good for the console but there's loads of frames of animation dropped and it runs at 30 frames per second unlike the saturn port that belts along at 60 frames per second. Also the PS1 uses polygons instead of sprite hit boxes to save memory and some experts find the hit boxes a little off because of this.

TBH if I can support deserving developers, I will. PS1 games are the equivalent of a fiver on Japanese PSN, so it's not really breaking the bank and hey I like to support these things.
Also, as a Mac user my emulation capabilities are limited - I'll emulate what I can't get my hands on officially, but it's a pain in the arse. I got my joystick working on MAME after a good few hours work and was delighted. One software update later and back to square one

However with older games I dunno... the collector in me sees that as another fiver that could have gone towards the original release

i havbe that fine game, got it for €5 in Rage.
It's a brilliant shmup and really pushes the GBA to its limits, really frustrating aswell because the scenery is your worst nightmare even fly near it and you're dead0 -

Fully boxed? PAL or NTSC? €5 for it is a bargain either way.
It's also German but has the hallmarks of Japanese excellence. Lovely stuff. I want this and Darius R for the GBA but only NTSC-J versions because of the box art and my love of NTSC-J collecting in general.
Incidentally, besides eBay, where's a good spot to buy NTSC-J GB/GBA/DS/3DS games?0 -

It's not hard to imagine really, the GBA was a beast when it came to using scaling and rotating graphics. Just check out stuff like Golden Sun or Gunstar Super Heroes. Super Stardust on the Amiga used similar effects.

Cart only I'm afraid. Was the first time I went into the shop, I looked across and saw a shmup, it was love at first sight. Gunstar super heroes is ridiculous on GBA, it runs so smooth and is such a kick ass game that it's not funny!!0 -
