Yes having predicted a Thurles win since early in the group stages I have to change horses as I cannot see Rochestown being beaten now. They have improved as the competition went on and all the momentum is with them now while Thurles have not been able to reach their full potential. Thurles also have a few internal issues that could be holding them back. The dual dilemma was Rochestowns main handicap but they seem to have managed the situation very well.
Looking forward to a close game though and weather conditions could have a significant influence on how it plays out.

They came back brilliantly to lead by a point with 10 mins left but didn't score again.
1-12 v 2-12 was the final scoreline.

Thurles kept the best to last. Powerful performance today. Hard luck Rochestown, could struggle for the semifinal after that loss but they have had some year so far.

I see Cork lost to Carlow in the leinster minor league. Any idea of the team and whether they were missing many? On the face of it it's a very poor result.

Super Sigerson final ends in a one point win for DCU after AET, very enjoyable game, UCC forwards should have done better, left it behind them I think!

Great match so far. Cork playing a lot better than last week. Aidan Walsh and Cads playing particularly well. Anyone else think all three cards were harsh?

Ye're looking good so far, possibly should be further ahead. Well on top in the backline and the inside forward line giving the Clare backs the runaround... if you could get Lehane on the ball more, you'd win this, I'd say.

I assume Clare have McGrath on the bench though, he could change the game.

I thought all were correct.

Clare with a tackle around the neck and a frontal charge with elbow high and Harnedy with a chop on the wrist.

All in the heat of battle but deservedly yellow cards.

I think Cork should have got maybe 1 or 2 more frees especially for fouls on Cadogan but thats the way it goes.

Really heating up to be a great match. Both teams really want the win!

Great performance and expected after last week,clare a shadow of the flash in the pan from 2013,plenty positives from tonight except should have more goals

Congrats on the victory. Very good performance from yee but we were awful. As said above, a shadow of the team from 2013. Kelly and mcinerney should make a big difference though.

massive improvement from last week. But still a lot to work on. Our first touch was poor again tonight. The workrate and our intensity was a step above from last week and that's good to see. One thing I noticed that the ref was shocking, the amount of pulling and dragging he let go was unbelieveable. In the long run however it might be good to have a game reffed like that and come out of it the right side. It's a criticism of Cork and where we can be got at but we won well tonight with it.

Hard luck to Roco coming up just short in yesterdays Harty final. A small small thing would have won this one for them but such are the margins between victory and defeat. The winning and losing of this game was the 10 or 12 minutes before half time. Roco had a good start and led 1 4 to 0 3 when Thurles got a firm grip on midfield which yielded 2 4 in the lead in to half time. So Roco faced a 4 point deficit, and the elements in the second half. But the great spirit within this group came to the fore and they dominated Thurles for the first 20 mins of the second half. They out scored them 5 points to 1 during this period and looked like a famous victory was on. Only for an incredible save from the Thurles keeper on Kingston I think Roco would have kicked on. In fairness to Thurles they showed their class to get the last 4 points when their need was greatest. Roco had heroes everywhere yesterday and the epic second half comeback showed what they are made of. Cashman gave a second half exhibition. Captain fantastic Griffin was a colossus throughout and Meaneys move to midfield at half time was instrumental in Roco coming so close to glory. Kingston proved yet again why he is such a special talent. And Cormack who was a constant thorn in the Thurles side throughout scored one of the goals of the year. The journey is far from over with Corn Ui Mhuri final next Sat and Croke Cup quarter final to come versus Leinster winners on 14th March. While the lads will be deflated for a day or two, I have absolutely no doubt they will regroup for next Sat and produce another performance of spirit, guts and togetherness. This group have that special bond that only school teams can sometimes generate and while yesterdays result might seem to stack the odds against them I wouldn't bet against them achieving something magical next weekend.
P.S. Great to see our county chairman lend moral support to Roco with his presence in Mallow yesterday. Pity the CCB can't back it up with the type of support that might have got Roco over the line. Roco have yet to receive a single hurley, sliotat or football from the powers that be. Imagine the expense Roco have incurred in their journey so far. And not one single scrap thrown from the top table. If Roco had to succeed yesterday it would not have been because of the CCB, it would have been despite them.

There really should be some form of an 'achievement grant' available to schools upon reaching a final. There is huge financial pressure on schools and parents as it is. Enough for a new set of jerseys/tracksuits/training tops etc would be sufficient. I still remember getting new socks, to keep!, for getting to a harty semi final - decades ago- from the school of course
It doesn't happen that often that Cork schools get to either final, let alone both, and the CCB can certainly afford it!

A couple of ROCO's best attackers had complete off days and they were totally reliant on Cormack and Kingston to get scores. Utterly dominated the 1st 25 minutes of the second half but couldn't translate it in to scores. Couldn't be faulted for heart and determination. A great achievement to get so close when ~90% of their players are from just two clubs and a no. of Blackrock/Douglas better underage players go to other colleges. Hopefully ROCO will be able to attract a bigger spread of players from other clubs and become a serious longterm hurling stronghold.

Great result v Clare but comes with a massive health warning as Clare were v ordinary. I wonder how much of the talk of improved workrate from the KK match is just a case of a physically stronger Cork side being able to "win the collisions" in rugby speak whilst KK are on another level when it comes to physical conditioning/strength/power.

Well a minor cork team were beaten, i dont know how strong it was. Carlow are championing it like they won the all ireland. THeir twitter going with the hashtag #HardWorkBeatsTalent...

Cork would have been missing at least the whole of the Rochestown contingent. That's the captain (Powter) and arguably best forward in Kingston as well as a couple others.

Without knowing what te team was its impossible to read anything into it.

Those lads were devasted at final whistle hard to pick it up agian now

In fairness thurles had there homework done and closed our lads down, they couldnt create the space like earlier games

A few murs takes and a few missed chances and the games goes away from you

I hope they can throw everything at football now for dingle next weekend

It looks like Kieran's then in q f

There a real great bucnh with great spirit - I hope your right common sense and well see some magic from them

You are also demeaning your own team with that bitter comment. Clare were the best team in 2013 and outplayed Cork in both finals. In 2014 at least they didn't go out without a fight unlike some other counties.

Nonsense 2013 was a fluke year and since then clare have been appalling,hammered in munster,thrown out by a division 2 team and 2015 terrible so far-flash in the pan by any definition.dont recall any other all ireland winning team perform so badly afterwards

Landers hitting Davy a root of a shoulder.

Bout time Davy got a belt but it wasn't shown on TV and indeed the little fart never complained about it when interviewed. Load of ball hooks IMHO.
Horgan's blow was shown and highlighted on TSG by Daly. No doubt the CCC will pick up on that and he will pay the price if it can be proved. Browne, the Clare player didn't react or attempt retribution so the TV picture may not tell the full story either.

What the camera failed to pick up was the amount of similar "sly strokes" that defender was pulling on Horgan off the ball. It takes two to tango.

Where is ttm1 these days? I wouldn't have minded seeing his pre and post reports on the Harty finals.

Delighted for my old school CBS to win on Saturday last. Probably fair to say they weren't the classiest team to go through the school but there has been few gutsier than them. They scraped through the qf, semi and again were put to the pin of their collars at the weekend but came through the right side despite going behind with 5 minutes or so to go.

Couldn't attend myself but I heard rave reviews about Mallows grounds, supposed to be as good as any in the country. I'd also like to wish Rochestown the best of luck in the Football final, they were supposedly on top for long spells and only for an excellent save late in the match the cup could have been on Leeside Sunday morning.

Last season, the U21's didn't play Senior once the U21 C/ship started. Cork play Limerick on 11th March in U21 so I'm not sure whether Maguire or BOD would have been available.

Read on PROC that Maguire has a serious back injury but read no reports - he didn't play in the semi or final of the Sigerson so he's definately injured - hope it's not serious - anyone hear anything.

Is BOD injured too ?

Paddy Kelly must surely be back in the mix but Dan Goulding is only just back training so probably won't be considered. Looks like Pat Flanagan has set clear guidelines for work required before anyone can play.

Galvin must be OK now too.

Donegal away is a big test but that's what we need.
