Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nissan say they will be delaying until Le mans

cant say im surprised to be honest, they were reportedly 15 seconds off the pace of Audi at the Sebring test and only completed a few hundred km compared with Audis 6000km.

Have also heard it failed its FIA crash test

It is also reported that the front wheel drive characteristics teamed with 1000 odd bhp and an unusual weight distribution is scaring 40 shades out of the drivers - chaps who don't scare easily.

Must be a major question over the conception of this project, one does not turn up to Le Mans in an unproven or suspect car.

Just a friendly reminder that along with the F1 in China, both the WEC and ELMS seasons kick off at the weekend at Silverstone.

The ELMS race starts at 2:30 on Saturday while the WEC will start from 12:00 on Sunday.

A good weekend to be a motorsport fan :)

Hard to argue with any of that, and yet those in charge of the rules would standardise the LMP2 class, a class which has consistently proved to have the tightest racing without engines and chassis choice restriction, hopefully the rule makers realise before its too late that LMP2 is just fine as it is.

That's new, they ran the with mirrors on the wheel arches at Silverstone.
It's a pity they can't just run with the in car rear view camera, that was cool.

Oh look, the ByKolles is actually faster than the LMP2s! :pac:

I think it's about time they put an end to this carry on, nobody expects the privateer P1s to be keeping up with the manufacturers but half a second ahead of the P2s is disgraceful. All it looks like is they are doing the absolute minimum to stay above the p2s so they can run a p2 style operation with the extra exposure and sponsorship of being in the p1 class.
