Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Toyota Altezza Rs200 2 litre petrol, get an average of 500ish km for 50 litres sometimes little less or more. Not bad I guess for a 200bhp. Could get more if I drove it a little lighter:D

2005 Honda Accord 2.2 i-CTDI 140 BHP, 55l tank, 660 miles per tank, 54 mpg approx, mainly National Roads but about 100 miles of that on Regional rds.

2004 Ford Mondeo Zetec 2.0 TDCI . 50mpg when driven anywhere but a motorway. 45mpg when a motorway was included.

2007 new shape Ford Mondeo Zetec 1.8TDCI. Best was 46mpg and drops to 43mpg when motorway included.

All figures calculated over many fills, and calculated from miles done and litres to fill. Ignored all readouts on the car itself for mpg.

I haven't really measured it but I guess I'd be around the same. But instead of your modern 1.3l, I drive an ancient 4.7l :D

Really depends on how you drive, can easily see single figure mpg in town.

Normally I get about 270/280 miles to a tank full, 70 liter tank, although when I do fill it takes between 60 and 65 liters.

The car tells me it averages 19mpg - most of my driving is on the motorway.

VERY easy to get that figure down though and it also burns a liter of oil every 1500 miles on average, the oil is almost €24 per liter.

Don't do many miles though - for obvious reasons :)

Reading through the thread I'm very impressed with the Peugeot/Citroen diesel economy

Miles per tank is useless information when comparing different cars and different fuel prices. Why not figure out miles per gallon heres how fill tank to brim reset trip to zero, next fill fill tank to brim again before you drive off write down cost of fill milage reading since last fill and cost per litre. eg traveled 250 miles cost of fill €37 price per litre €1.20 37/1.20= 30.83 litres 30.83/4.454=6.78 gallons 250 miles/6.78 gallons= 36.8 miles per gallon.

Or you could just take down how many litres you put in from the pump - I use the notes in my phone. Of course it's how much you fill it the next time round that corresponds to the amount of fuel you've used for what you've measured with your trip counter.

    1999 Opel Vectra 1.6 16 valve petrol. 60 litre tank. Takes approx 55 - 57 litres.

460 to 480 miles per tank. Mainly motorway driving but some town driving. Although this is with a pretty light right foot its not bad considering there are 144k miles up on the car and wider tyres than standard.

My Ford Transit tank holds approx 17.5 Gallons. It would do around 25 mpg in the city and 38mpg cross country. I would normally fil it to the top on the Naas Rd and travell to Tralee via Shannon or Ennis and back on a full tank. If the van is loaded it will obviously use more. Last year the round trip could have been done for e75 now it is costing well over the ton.
