Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. Sennheiser CX300 I think.

Some serious money being spent here on good headphones. Was looking for really good noise cancelling earphones, but never found anything that did the job. Mind you I didn't have a serious budget.

    Sennheiser PX-200-ii
Koss Portapro (everyone should have a pair)
Sennheiser Hd62 TV (not brilliant, not awful, but good enough if you want to listen to the tv with headphones due to the 4/5m cable

Turtle Beach PX-21 headset too for the PC, PS3 & 360

And some Sony In Ear buds that I got with my XPeria that are not too bad, comparable to my CX 300s (which I lost) and my CX 400 which I broke.

Saving up for HD-25-1-ii or V-Moda Crossfade M80s

    Amp: Fiio E7
    Headphones:
    Denon D2000s
    Beats Studio
    Sennheiser HD555
    Klipsch Image S4
Ultimate Ears TripleFi10 (these are serious, and got them for $99)
Some Cheap JVC ones for the gym
    iPhone standard buds.

How on earth did you get them for 99$

Also recently added a pair of them to my collection :)

Amazon golden box 2010. They're not all that.

TMA-1 are the best set of headphones Ive encountered.

Much prefer them to the Sennheisser HD-25 mk2

A guy on headfi got a few pairs on Black Friday and sold a pair to me for $99 + about $7 shipping. I know they get differing reviews but with the comply foam tips I think they're fricking amazing. They absolutely kill the Denon D2000s not to mention the Beats. Maybe I'm just getting a great fit for my ears but I actually find them addictive to listen to :D

    How do you find them?

I adore them, i also get a fantastic fit. I love them combined with the E6 for that little extra kick as well. Better than my M50s and Alessandros by a long shot.

Sennheiser CX200 (I think) in-ear earphones for phone mp3 listening.

    Sennheiser PC21 headset for Skype

    Sennheiser HD595 headphones for music

Thinking of getting a Corsair Vengeance 2000 headset to replace the PC21 and HD595 (I know it's a downgrade, but I'm liking the wireless-ness).

Seinheiser HD650 with Firestone Audio Spitfire Mk II DAC and NJC Audio Monitor I headphone amplifier. :D Sounds great with EAC ripped FLACs!

I wouldn't mind picking up a pair of closed back headphones for discrete listening though, any recommendations from the Seinheiser stable?

As of today I know longer have the PX200-II. Well I do, but they broke have a real murky sound. Second pair in a year, exact same problem. Amazon might replace them again if I'm lucky.

However I've added MUSE the DJ headphones, they're probably awful, but I'd seen them going for €50 on Amazon and were €10 on Play so I chanced it.

I just added a Fiio E6 to my portable set up. When I'm at home I use a Bithead dac/amp belonging to my Dad with the Grados but never really got into the idea of a portable amp. The E6 is only an amp but so far I'm pretty impressed using it with the Grados and the portapros. Now I'm considering upgrading the cx-300s to make the whole thing fairly innocuous when I'm commuting....any excuse to buy a new pair of IEMs :o

I don't splash out on in ear heaphones as they always brake on me within six months, I bought these and the Argos warranty even though I've lost the receipt ¬,¬
but they are the comfiest and most durable pairs of headphones for under 20 euro I've ever had, of course I am sacrificing sound quality but I have no issues with these the sound is clear and loud enough so really good for what they are.

Got a pair of Koss Porta Pros this week, really like them so far, sound quality is top notch for the price :)

  • Site Banned Posts: 20,686 ✭✭✭✭Weepsie

My Aiaiai TMA-1's arrived today. They'd been sitting in a depot since last week. Very early impression is that they are bloody good. The untimely demise of my PX200-iis (second pair) has turned out to be a good thing as the refund covered 2/3 of the cost.

The Portapros will always be in reach though.

Just joined the PortaPro club :)

I bought them in town, since I couldn't even find an English site that sold the red model (and because I'm impatient!)

Just did some quick mods on my pair.
Kramer mod (3mm drill & extra with sharp knife/ needle files).

I tried to do a quarter mod but still found the standard foam uncomfortable.
Next, I tried a pair of cheap PX-200 pads, but they were too small and inhibited some sound.

Finally, I realised: I had a pair of "broken" Skullcandy something-or-others I can cannibalize!
Ripped the nice big pleather pads out and secured them to my PortaPros with some hot glue.

    Result:
    1e9cc52eb59a11e18cf91231380fd29b_7.jpg
Koss PortaPro (red), kramer mod, old Skullcandy pleather pads.

Also, I would like to add I'm NOT trying to make them look like baby beats or anything ;)
