Bohs (2/1) and St. Pats Athletic (13/8) on a double tonight

Have to be crazy to take Bohs imo. Portadown are 2nd in the Irish League with 19 wins, 3 draw and 6 losses this season. They're on a run of 3 wins in a row also. Compare this to a Bohs side who lost to Longford to other day and only just beat Killester Utd 2-1.

Limerick to beat Sligo Rovers tonight could be worth a small punt, Limerick have a really strong side already and atm have 2 CSKA Moscow players on trial who may start. Sligos pre-season hasn't been to plan with Cook saying he was staying with Sligo the other day, and then today he signs for Acc. Stanley. 11/4 for Lims win.

I've gone for a treble of:
BTTS in Dusseldorf v Eintracht Frankfurt
    BTTS in Monaco v Bastia
Real Sociedad to score at least 1 goal

    Dawid Janczyk and Lubos Kaluda.

    Dawid Janczyk and Lubos Kaluda.

These 2 players used to play in CSKA Moscow's first team, I'm shocked that they would consider a move to a team that plays in the Irish 2nd division. Do Limerick have a rich owner or something?

    Over 2.5 in Siena/Roma tonight at 2.2

Both just signed on loan with Limerick 15 mins ago, JP McManus has been pumping some money into them along with their owner McCarthy.

    Limerick into 12/5 now.

F*cking better, even still, Limerick have a really strong side, and with all the crap that's gone on in Sligo I can see the players not being in the right frame of mind.

Into 21/10 on Bet365. Still 5/2 with Powers.

Looking at 3 teams tomorrow, and funny enough none in the CL (as of yet) -

    Rubin @ 10/11
It'll be feckin freezing today as you'd imagine in Russia, the Greeks won't like that and are known for not being great travelers away in Europe. Kuzan's home form is very good and I expect them to win. Dare I suggest even them beating the -1 handicap? Worth chancing I'd say at @ 3/1. Might have a small bet on that myself as well.

    Sporting @ 8/11
Loved betting on Sporting this season. They have let me down only once in around a dozen games this season. bestikas form is all over the shop. Last 5 matches, they have one once and lost 3 times. Away form in general is fairly average to say the last as well.

    Blackpool @ 11/8
Doncaster are ****e. Blackpool are decent and will be in the playoffs come May. It's 3am. I'm off to bed. The end. :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,862 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

Braga (i take it you mean Braga with Sporting)is indeed reliable.

Just keep forgetting to put a bit of money on their man Lima. Scores quite a few.
And after last year you wouldnt consider them for overs but they do that a lot lately.

    I took Rubin - Olympiakos BTTS @evens.
Will look later, when i can, for an any time on Lima. Maybe some bookie is doing wincasts on the EL.

wow the odds on Rubin were @ 1.80 yesterday and now they're at 2.45

Well, their full name is Sporting Braga to be fair.
But i was looking for the Lisbon version this morning.
Also sleep or lack there of.

BTTS not looking great. Pantelic on the bench for Olympiakos so can only imagine a very big parked bus.

Wonder what the odds for Apoel DNB or Double chance are.
Lyon are terrible the last few weeks and Apoel .... we have all been frustrated by them in the 1st round.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,536 ✭✭✭Dolph Starbeam

Going to follow the tip above an go with Braga to beat Besiktas. I'd also fancy APOEL to score at least 1 goal, they have been a bit of a surprise package so far in the CL and Lyons form defence isn't the greatest.

    Sporting Braga @ 4/6

    Sporting Braga v Besiktas
    Match Betting

    Over 0.5 @ 10/11
    Lyon v Apoel Nicosia
    Away Goals U/O 0.5
    Total stake € 50.00
    Estimated return € 159.09

Aye I'm considering APOEL at 6/1, worth chancing. Lyon were terrible at the weekend by all accounts, losing at home to Caen. Score flattered Lyon apparently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 620 ✭✭✭Laika1986

    Brighton @ evens
great value for a team won 4 and drew one of last five at home. Millwall have lost 4 of their last 5 on the road

    Charlton @ 10/11
Charlton great value here MK dons are decent but Charlton are that little bit ahead

    Cardiff @ 8/13
Cardiff lost at the weekend and will be looking to keep their place in the top 6, P'boro are shocking enough can perform on the occasion but after travelling straight across england id expect them to return with nothing

    Birmingham @ 5/6
Pretty sure B'ham are still unbeaten at home and will be looking to put pressure on the top two.

    10 pays 113.08

Get in! a bit lucky though with the missed penalty

Don't be fooled by Lyon's defeat against Caen, Caen often do well against Lyon for some reason. I think the best bet for tonight is under 2.5, thinking of doing a double with that and Braga.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,862 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

Saw them last week vs Bordeaux for the cup.
    They were terrible.

Ref for Braga - Besiktas is Dutch who, judging on stats, might have Spanish forefathers.

He is not too bad lately in the Dutch league but he knows to find the cards when on international duty.
Click back a few pages on the soccerway page and make up your own mind.

APOEL had 8 yellows on the road during the group stages while Lyon only had 4 @ home. APOEL -0.5 cards is 1.875 on Bet365 right now. Seems like a winner to me!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,919 ✭✭✭Schism

I'll second that Lyon were awful against Bordeaux, very frustrating to watch. APOEL have to be going for a 0-0 tonight and may well get it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,303 ✭✭✭Lasagna Diarra

You guys are underestimating Lyon, they didn't have their best line up against Bordeaux and Bordeaux have improved a lot recently, plus Lyon have lots of experience in Europe

    Group stages Apoel away:
    P W D L GF/GA PTS
    1. APOEL 3 0 3 0 2:2 3

If you manage to not lose against Porto/Zenith/Shaktar away and end up top of the group you can manage not to lose away to Lyon.

I am not saying Apoel will have a walk over, far from it. But i will not be surprised if they get a result and it is worth a 6/1 shot.

It will not be pretty though :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,734 ✭✭✭Fowler87

15 on Brighton (evens) and Braga (4/6) tonight. Returns 50

5 on Matty Phillips (11/1) and Craig Mackail Smith (10/1) 2 or more goals returns 660.

Obvious long shot for the scorers but CMS is a streaky player and scored his first goal in a while against Leeds thr last day and Millwall are there for the taking tonight if Poyet sets team out to attack them. And Phillips suits Blackpool flowing style and most of his goals (normally in 2s) have come away from home. Probably should have done two singles but ara sure Im feeling lucky:pac:

    I'd echo Lasagna here,

don't under estimate Lyon! They did put 7 past Zagreb away from home,

As a Feyenoord fan i thank you for reminding me.
Would have been Ajax - Apoel otherwise tonight.

Lyon averaged just below 5 corners per game in the group stages whilst APOEL averaged less than 3 per game.

    Under 10 corners on bet365 is 1.975.

Doubling that with APOEL -0.5 on the cards @ 1.875

    2.6/1

No need to be sorry, i laughed my arse off.

In Amsterdam they were screaming fix but that was gone pretty fast as the rest of the country didnt have any sympathy and just blamed Ajax for not scoring enough themselves in the other matches.

Only better, now they be kicked out by a proper team in the EL. Otherwise Apoel would have ended their CL run and that looks a lot worse.

I know I mentioned this awhile back on my Twitter, but Zenit will be without Danny who's out long term. Now Criscito will miss the game against Benfica. Both are key to Zenit performing. Benfica currently 15/8. I'm half considering a fairly decent sized bet on the Portuguese side as they are in excellent form. Might look at -1 as well.

I fancy BTTS in the Barca game also. Barcelona have been less than impressive away from home this season and Leverkusen have only failed to score 3 times at home this season.

Word of warning: Just read that Derdiyok, Sam and Ballack are all likely to be out for Leverkusen. That means they'll be without 3 of their biggest threats and will be relying on Kiessling for goals, who has scored just once in his last 12 games. The more I think about it the more I think I won't bother with the bet.

big move in odds on some bookies for Stjarnan to win @ 18:00, its a friendly

suspended on some sites, went as low as 1.10 still 11/8 on 365. no other info apart the odds movement. 365 offering in play too, last game ended 4 - 3 looked to be a mad game and that was in the league.

credit goes to Paddyg for spotting it
