Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Tesco 24 days of Advent/Dunnes 12 days of Christmas

    I am assuming Dunnes will be doing the '12 days of Christmas' offers again. But anyway Tesco started advertising a '24 days of Advent' this morning.

    Today's offer is Cadbury's Roses etc for €4.99 - today only.

    Just a note to say - watch out for these Tesco deals. A friend bought the special price Furby online from Tesco and they said it would be delivered the next day between 12 and 2. An hour before delivery they rang to say it was out of stock.

    I don't know about you guys but I find these offers pretty useless. I would much much rather a competitive offer on household products - weather it be dishwasher tablets, nappies, toilet roll, cereals etc. I know that it's Christmas time and they want to get people in and even with below cost selling - but they just seem to be flogging rubbish - even if they did a bottle of Sancerre or Chateau Neuf De Pape or something for €8/€10 I'd be down in a heartbeat...... I just don't see the logic in flogging loads of similar products - there's only so much confectionary we can eat!

    anyway, just my little rant. ;-)
