Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Please move if this is not the right forum.

I have been finding the emo look very attractive lately.Which is quite funny seeming as most of the girls I hae been with have been over the last two years have been the D and G,Abercrombie, fur boots wearing crowds. They have grown too meh to me now.

I think that I have realised about three years too late though seeming as it is dead.:L

Anyways. These are my late night rumblings.

Plus,I don't think there is many emos in Leitrim or Galway in fact.Crusties on the otherhand are overrepresented in Leitrim and Galway.

Rocker/emo/goth girls are nicer than any other kind this isle produces.

Sadly growing up in this neck of the woods before heading to Quinn in UCD for college they're fúcking too rare. ><

    Goth girls for the win.

I have gone out with several. They tend to have been the most happy go lucky girls I hang around with.

It's a horrible stereotype that goth girls are depressed btw. :)

Also they have interesting things to talk about, besides, "loike, where I saw these awesome new A n F tops, like, only for 2,000 europs, like"

Well there was anti goth stereotyping going on, I thought I'd strike one back for them :D

They can be hot... Only if they're hot.

Mmmm goth girls. I mean food. Yes, food. ¬_¬

But nah, they do come across as nicer people. And the clothes are hotter I reckon. And so much less fake tan, thank the Good Lord. That stuff's vile.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 29,930 ✭✭✭✭TerrorFirmer

They're not oddly attractive, they're downright hot.

As opposed to that fake anti - tan? Y'know that strange white powder that some goth types wear.

I went with this girl who was 17 at the first time we went out she dressed up all goth to impress but she absolutely caked her face in the stuff... She was actually hot but she'd made herself look like a panda :D

    Met under clerys clocks.

Was that powder not originally a lead product that killed off many a victorian lady? I do like the more classical goth styles.

Girls that dress Goth but like metal music is the best.
"Goth" music sucks monkeys balls, and there a strict limited number of bands your allowed to like if your "Goth".

That's way I got myself and small cute Goth looking metal chick. FTW

while not a huge fan of "goth music" or even "metal music" i wouldnt use such a broad and sweeping statement as "such and such sucks monkey balls"

    generalization=auto lose :P

edit- kudos on the small cute Goth looking metal chick though. :)

Anyone ever read "What is Goth" by Voltaire?

    A funny little read.

I have been going to the one Goth club in Dublin for almost 10 years.

I like most of the music, {industrial, 80's Metal, random krieg,etc,...} but if you've every talked to anybody who calls themselves Goth, you'll finish there is a alot of "anti-conformities, conformities" scene. And most people who people looking would think they are goth would not call themselves goth.

I don't find Goth attractive. At all.

Emo can be sometimes attractive, but unfortunately you'd have to put up with the shite music that goes along with it.

And I used to know some of the many varients of 'Goths' it's just a hold all term. People aren't interested enough to learn all of the odd variations. ;)

And they're clearly the hottest of all girls.

But then I like pale and cute/pretty rather than tanned goddess types. Just my personal preferences. ^^

They appear to me to be a mix between the emotic crowd and the "atlernative" music thats swamping the radios at the moment.

(Note to music fans- if you are not on an independant label you are not indie, if you get played by mainstream media you are not an "alternative".)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,031 ✭✭✭Lockstep

    I agree.

THe place where I work is next to an gothshop and I've found myself drawn to the pale and panda eyed clientele.

Indie and alt are misnomers though. The word does not mean independant, that's what it meant. That's the crucial differentiation. Indie means a specific type/style of music as does alt. If it's popular of course mainstream media and record labels own you. That's why the music industry's full of sell-outs.

And less of this talk, more talk of hot emo/goth girls... :pac:

I go to Fibbers most Thursdays. It's got an odd mix of goth/emo girls. There's some god awful ones there though, so you'd have to be careful with the beer goggles. :D

I used to be rather emo apparently. I've grown out of that phase though, I think. :p

Ah goth girls, god I love them.

Gotta agree with doom, on top of being unbelievably hot they tend to be happier and far more interesting then the shoes & fake tan crowd.

Hot, happy, and an interest in literature = orestes in love

Nah, not a big gamer myself, but a tolerance of wrestling or stand up comedy would be a definite bonus
