Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What has this got to do with neighbourhood watch?

We had a Garda presence we hadn't had in years...

Yeah but that has nothing to do with where he lives now or who he lives with?

    It brings a Garda patrol...

Each and every Taoiseach has a garda protection on their home... That would explain the sudden appearance of the patrolling Garda.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,648 ✭✭✭✭beauf

That's why when asked why it mattered where he lived I said it brought a Garda presence.

Except he doesn’t live in The Georgian village so any patrol is coincidental.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 22,648 ✭✭✭✭beauf

No one mentioned a patrol in Georgian village.

To see a regular patrol is so unusual that when you see it. It stands out. It also makes you realise how little you actually see Garda patrols normally.

Generally Garda activity is noteworthy by neighborhood watches.

The same car seems to be behind its own crime wave...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,862 ✭✭✭✭January

May be nothing, may be something. Black 4X$/suv type car parked up in Wellview last night, moved once to change position, lone male in car. Today about 6.15pm was driving round, man driving, woman in passenger seat recording. Loads of kids out playing on the road. Reported to Garda.

I assumed 1 went in to move the car from the front and the other 2 to take 2 cars.

The traffic lights werent working at that junction yesterday so this was always a possibility. Saw some people taking terrible risks on it.

The traffic lights look like they were wiped out so I guessed they were destroyed in the crash rather than the cause?

More traffic chaos soon thanks to the OPW/Phoenix park, who will close off local roads for 3 days in may , because they are getting paid by Aiken promotions for the use of phoenix park.

I am already dreading the thoughts of when that LIDL opens up in Castleknock. The village is a nightmare as it is for traffic.

Don’t believe that a tertiary level qualification is a prerequisite for using them. Is it in the planning conditions?

Wasn't there a report of a man attempting to drag a woman into a park near Mulhudart area early in the morning a few weeks back too? Think it was this thread?
Seems to be a lot of these incidents occurring. Makes you wonder if it's the same person.

There were a couple of reports of a man in Hartstown Park attacking a woman alone and then a group of teenagers. I read somewhere he'd been arrested but of course he could have been released afterwards.

They are restricted by the court until a guilty verdict has been handed down and even then it’s actually up to the victim to wave their right to anonymity in order to name the suspect

Madness, the community need to be kept informed, if it were a bank robbery or stabbing etc he'd be named.

Innocent until proven guilty is the way it works in most modern countries. This isnt the US.

They'll be informed if he is found guilty of the crimes he has been charged with.
