The HP statistics are probably an underestimation... have mine just under two years and the sound card (sound processor?) is gone all staticy at high volumes, and it threatens to topple over at times even when all I'm doing is writing code.

This is what I'm afraid will happen to my Acer when I come to writing code.

Think a fresh windows install is in order. Then only have Chrome and any essential programmes needed. :p

Mine's a Dell Inspiron, and I'll have it 3 years this Christmas. It was problematic from the off but most of the problems were just irksome up until earlier this year when I had to do Windows reinstall to fix it. I honestly think they've gone with cheaper parts or something, as this laptop always kinda feels flimsier than my last Dell laptop, which lasted until it was 4 years and I used it pretty intensely (and it broke when I gave it to my brother, who probably downloaded a heap of shíte onto it...)

Wouldn't be arsed buying Dell anymore anyway since they've gone from Limerick.

I have no idea what that is, so I googled it and apparently it's a language or people?

No no no no. You don't understand. People come from around the world or around Cork to have magical food in a magical place. KC's chipper is not just a chipper it is a place of dreams and hope. A king creole is a beautiful pitta bread with roasted chicken breast and cajun spices, icer-berg lettuce and mayo.

After tragic flooding that forced KC's to close for a couple of weeks Clearly it was arranged by the likes of lennox and other chippers, jealous of KC's amazingness. the people of the world cried and mourned until the day KC's reopened. That day was this week, people flocked from all across the land to once more have proper food.

Give me directions to this magical place! (I'm out in Victoria Cross for the next 3 weeks, but I'm willing to travel a little bit for awesome food :pac: )

Its in Douglas. Less than a 10 minutes drive from Victoria cross or you could get the number 6(i think) city bus! Its on the main street in douglas, next to paddy power, its tiny so don't miss it. Expect queues but they run through them very fast. I'd recommend King creole or Kansas city pitta(slow roast pork belly in bbq sauce) or the polynesian or anything, nom nom nom nom. Wedsbite is http://www.kcandco.ie with full menu.

It's in Douglas (if you know where that is >_>), like two doors down from the shopping centre that has a Tesco!

EDIT: Haircopper got there before me...yeah, what she said.

Its only a 12 minute bus journey on the Number 206 (Formally just the 6) bus. You can get off once you are in the fairly obvious town by the flyover and Tescos, then walk to the other side of Douglas along by (or through), the shopping center which Tescos resides in (Douglas Village Shopping Center). KC's is on the eastern side of the shopping center on the street (diagonally across from the petrol station).

    Hope that helps :D

So weird.. So found out last night 2 my besties(Probs my closest 2) went to see the fireworks without asking me then made a public show of going.
So in typical fashion I was gonna totez ignore them and make them realise it was a crappy thing to do.

But in the midst of this I was wondering what I was gonna do 2 my other friends, one who I havnt seen in weeks, just text me if I wanted to chill and like they didnt text me that they organised it together, just randomly both of them.
But yay to having friends \o/

Had a brilliant week in London :D After hours of checking and requesting tickets on the official Olympics website we gave up and went the...ahem...less legitimate way and got tickets to the Men's Basketball on Saturday night which also gave the full day in the Olympic Park. So glad we did, sure it wouldn't have been my number one sport to go see but the Olympic Park was fantastic and the experience and atmosphere was amazing.

Everything over there is so well organised (apart from the ticket website!!), fair play to London. The transport system had no problems, the city was buzzing, queues were short and everything seemed to be going very well. The place is obviously plastered with Union Jacks, including projections onto some of the buildings at night, but the support for and success of the home team just added to it all! :D

Hair and makeup at 10 in the morning which is waaaaayy too early but ah who cares! The dress has even just been ironed by mam.

    Aaaahh excitement overload!!!!!!

I took the massive leap and decided not to go back to college in September. Officially I'm taking a year out but I might just not go back at all. For the first time ever, I feel free, utterly free to do whatever I want, and it's the best feeling ever. It just took so so long for me to realise that college was making me dreadfully unhappy. I might return in a few years. But I also might not.

For the time being I'm going to spend my days doing what makes me happy. So I'm going to go back running, start a yoga class and do a course in Galway where you learn how to build a 50 Watt tube amp. More long term, I'm really looking into going to Africa for a few months to do some volunteer work.

    Onwards and upwards.

Edit: Oooh, and since I decided not to go back to college, I booked flights to Mallorca for a week with my friends and decided to go to Electric Picnic :D

I really really really love my hospital placement atm. Kinda sickened that I'm just there for 2 weeks and then I've to go to paeds. The staff are so nice and ridiculously helpful and informative. Like I know it's early in the game yet and I'm sure I'll find more specialisations that'll probably interest me, but perioperative nursing seems really cool.
Like still 3 years before qualification and I've all these mad ideas in my head but ya.. in short, placement is unreal atm, yay!
