Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Monday- College stuff, Dinner, City, Maybe friends house, cards, few jars
Tuesday- College Stuff, likelihood of a session is funds are there
Wednesday - College Stuff, catch up on sleep.
Thursday - College stuff 50/50 between going out and staying in
Friday - Go back home (: Chat and sleep
Saturday - Catch up w/ friends, much missed midweek tv (American Dad, Fam Guy & Southpark and other series dotted in between, How I met your mother etc. :D )
Sunday - Back up to college, college stuff on laptop, write up notes, make rough plan for the week, start week and repeat.

Do a lot of walking in between,
Aware it looks dreadfully stationary :P
Have other one off college things in between,
Like cinema and meetings too on occasion though,
    Aware it looks boring too,
    It can get very... :P

No, I do pretty much **** all in the evening. I plan to do stuff, such as house work or working on a personal project, but then I do everything in my power to avoid starting it.

    Typical evening:
    Come home
    Feed the dog/cat
    Check internet stuff
Bring the dog out for an hour
    Have dinner
    Watch tv
    Internet
    Bed.

Dinner, exercise, study, tv, prepare lunch, bed
Dinner, exercise, study, tv, clean apt, bed

Or some variant of that. College two nights a week too.

    Lying.

    You forgot lying.

It really isn't that unbelievable buddy. If you find it that hard to accept that people do these kind of things you need to have a look at your own life. Please, for your own good and the good of those who have to be around you, do something different if you think my list is that extraordinary. Same goes with anyone who agrees with your sentiments. It's so sad if you don't believe that other people aren't occupied in their evenings. You're missing out. Don't get cynical just because your life sucks. There's a lot more to life than sitting in front of a screen and taking the piss out of other people.

Just checked. You're hitting 17 posts a day and you've been here over a year. You really, really aren't qualified to judge what's possible regarding people's free time...

Here's a start. Spend less time on the computer. You can then at least comment on things you've tried which involve getting away from the internet.

I have three small kids and no extended family around to pick up the slack...the OH and I literally divide up the weekday nights and fight like dogs with a bone over the remaining scraps of free time. He does martial arts and meditation on Mondays and Fridays, I rollerskate and dance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Saturday he plays football and Sunday I rollerskate. Sometimes we talk to each other on a Thursday night if his mates don't want to come round to play pool....the life I tells ya!

Usually movie, sex, snooze. Not necessarily in that order.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28,929 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

    Usually...

    - Come home, chill for an hour
    - Decide if I'm hungry enough to make something as I had lunch/dinner in work
    - Watch TV / spend too much time on Boards, MSN etc
    - Kick myself for not making something to eat - possibly order takeaway if its not half 9/10ish yet
    - Tell myself I should get an early night tonight
    - Bed at 1/2am when I'm up for 7

Does anybody here live on their own? I'd be interested to know what you do with your time/how you motivate yourself.

I moved into an apt. on my own and largely like it and def don't want to go back to moving in with family/ living with strangers, but I find when I'm not filling up my time with loads of things it's hard to sit in in the flat on your own. So I make myself as busy as possible. Anyone relate to this or what do ye do?

  • I work every weekday evening. :(

On the plus side, I have almost my entire day free some days, so I use that time wisely, sending applications for dream jobs, working on my languages, updating my blog, cooking etc. I feel a lot more productive than when I was doing a 9-5 job.

Weekdays I come home from work, have dinner, watch Come Dine With Me, try exercise (mostly unsuccessfully) then make lunch for the next day, browse internet, read and bed. There isn't much to do where I live in the evenings
