Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone think it's worth creating a bargain alerts/recommendations thread for buying gear?

And @ fergalb would that be ok?

I just fear that it'd only gather cobwebs - in my experience, sailing/boating bargains are like hen's teeth :D

    But I'm all for it!

If ya don't get one, I can check my local Aldi for you, they never seem to run out of specials.

Also Lidl have polarized sunglasses for 4.99 this Sunday (not that I shall be buying any, I recently counted how many pairs of sunglasses I have and resolved not to buy any more for a long time :) )

I'm not sure there are enough cheep things for boats out there to warrant it being a sticky :D we will see how it goes.

I hear Spar will be selling marine pot noodle in select areas for only 4.50 a tub, tastes the same as regular pot noodle but with a toughened container to withstand the harsh marine environment and comes with a sachet of snake oil that's supposed to help keep you safe at sea

Just got a 5L Drum of TC-W3 2-stroke off the same crowd above for €25. Maybe the site is out of date or they charge more for online? Even for 33 its not bad
