the pick is limited to say the least

Limerick is actually ridiculous, I can't get over how little selection we have considering there's a pub (if not two or three) on every street.

Is there any word on whether someone is taking over Cornmarket??

Socialise in some other city/town then? Problem solved.

Well i am actually from Dublin4 but end up coming down to Limerick cos i play rugby here.So its a pain when theres nothing to do in the place!Id say you have more fun in your driveway than going into Limerick.Too many pubs catering for old people and then they wonder why theres anti-social behavior .i will give it ago and see how it works out.I usually get into Icon anyway and most places.Just havent tried Angel lane yet. What age is Dolans? There should nearly be a handbook of all the ages places are in Limerick. It seems to change every night of the week in the place!

As for Mollies the place is a waste and the bouncers are ****!

    Mod hat off!

That's a strange jump in logic! What makes you say that?

I totally agree with you there. It's very confusing around town for people under 23. Some places are 18s one night, "students only!" another, and over 21s or even over 23s on weekends. And that changes again during the holidays when the students are away. Nightmare for young people on a night out.

Yes good idea!I think I need to get a list of the Bars and Nightclubs in Limerick to have a list of the age groups cos its annoying and embarrassing if you are the wrong age going to a door and getting refused!

As for the Bouncers in Mollies I have no respect for arrogance from them!At least treat clients with respect rather than being disrespectful!

As for Limerick there is nothing in the place for young people to do!Simple as!Like theres more U16s discos to go to in Limerick than there is for people over 18!As for the rule of Over 20s only thats a joke because your legal to drink what is the big problem! If you think some 18 year old looks like there going to cause trouble refuse them simple as!There well able to refuse people so i do not see how theres a big issue with refusing over 18s!

All i will say is I am happy to hear Trinity Rooms is opening on August 13th again! There the only ones with sensible brains! To let over 18s in.Then you have all these Nightclubs and Businesses complaining they are making no money! If they were less stricter on there age rule of over 20s loads of money would be made!

In general Limerick is a messed up city! The shopping in the city centre is a joke too cruises street is empty basically!

Since a certain member of staff is no longer a doorman at Molly's I have to disagree. The lads are always polite and friendly to me and whoever I'm with. Same with Mark and Damien, the managers. I've dealt witht he two lads in a business capacity as well as being a regular in Molly's and I've never left there with a problem in relation to ANY member of staff.

Ya it really depends on the night when you go there! But i am just saying what a lot of people I know that live in Limerick have said to me about the place :)

Back in my day we got fake usit cards, although we were smarter back then

They wouldn't accept those these days.

Though I do remember once while queuing to get into Molly's, that I brandished both my UL ID and my age card.

The bouncer looked at both of them, back to me, then asked if I had anything else....

All I had was a bank card, which he looked at and only then he allowed me in.

Now I *may* have understood this if the place was wedged or if I seemed drunk (I was sober).. But when I turned the corner to go in, the place was empty!
