Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    how can you tell?

The disc on the windshield seems to be the load motor tax ones from the UK and the number plate itself just doesn't look Irish even though it's blurred.
    I could be wrong though.

It's an age/rural thing. My uncle was marvelling a few years that mine had 6 forward gears. If you're used to dealing tractors that's a term you'd use.

160bhp standard. I had my SIR delsol up to 180bhp with some minor modifications.

6k does seem insane for an ek but they're climbing all the time. Would I pay it, fück no, you'd almost get a real nice s2k for that money.

    Chungfellas though.

Like what? If your talking high lift cams well that ain't a cheap modification if you buy them new and getting a cheap second hand pair for small money would be quite difficult as well unless you get extremely lucky one day.

Intake manifold, intake, throttle bodies and a decat. They were thrown in with the sale, I never got it dyno'd but I'd guess it was easily 20bhp extra.

The Japenese SIR B16a came out of the factory with 170bhp, the VTIs are all B16a2 witch are 160.

In that case mine was 170 standard and not the 160, probably closer to 190 with the few bits that were done although no dyno was ever done.

Wouldn't mind what they supposedly came with from factory. 99% of the time there is nothing between an A & an A2.

180bhp easily achievable out of a B16 but 5k for that EK is not :D

    I thought the MK5 ended after 2008?
I have one and its worth at least 15k :P

Blackwater are partial for selling old stuff for too much money. Didn't they have an 09 Polo 9n in this thread recently for around 10k.

It's a nice looking car and 2010 is unusually late but it's probably worth closer to half the asking.

Maybe I'm wrong as I can't zoom in much but in your picture it seems to say econ whereas with that ad I can only see a small symbol but maybe it just says ac.

Edit. I think I'm wrong, bottom button I think says ac, the top right is the recirc button and the top left is the demist

Apart from the usual mark levinson joke, he could command a bit more if it had that along with the sat nav.
    But 10k... in lala land.
4k max I would say and even then that's pushing it.

God I miss that special poster.

It's a good thing he is giving two keys away with the car - perhaps if a buyer offered to buy the car without the keys, he might take €1900 euros of the marked price?

And as usual the spelling, grammer and layout of the text is poor. Pictures are not great either.

You would have to be mad to pay that. Personally I do not see the fascination of them tbh. I just see it as any other old car.

You could buy a e46 M3 and have money left for the insurance and tax for a few years .
